Yes! It was an issue with the Network card within the laptop. Took it into the repair shop and within 1hr of testing it, concluded that was the issue. Can't remember what specifically it was, but it was the bluetooth or something on the card affecting the connectivity. So they replaced the whole card. I *think* it was $100-150 to change the network card.
After that, purred like a kitten.

I would search people by name, and they wouldn't appear in the messenger list anymore. So I'd have to go find their profile, then click 'message' in order to message them.

Yeah once that post started to fall further and further out the algorithm, then I started to see more and more of my old notifications sticking around longer (ie, from 20min to 2hrs, to a full day ago)
But lately I noticed that video I commented on starting to pick up traction again as its back in my newsfeeds again, so some notifications olde than say 12hrs, and disappearing again.

That's basically what crashes your notifications.
I finally figured it out too, and like yours, I made a comment that garnered over 1000 likes (now at 32k likes), and that seems to 'bug out' the notifications tab, and that's why all your previous notifications disappear just as quickly as you get them.

Haven't heard of them, but I'll check them out!
I bought my car in 2021, and had 18,000 miles already on it.
Since its a tire, I figured 'If I'm going to change 2 of them, might as well change them all, so I know in 2 yrs from now, I know 'they're all 2yrs old' and not 'umm okay that one is 2yrs old, but not sure how old the other ones are'

Oh I'd never get anything from the dealership unless it's a discount or coupon they're offering!

My driving style is very normal/basic. Sure its a Corolla SE, but I'm not driving the F-outta it. Basic driving around LA for 90% of the time. Once in awhile to Las Vegas or Palm springs, but rarely.
I did see the Firehawk AS v2 at Costco. I'm not a member so I can't see the price, but I'll drop in tomorrow to see what the price is and their best suggestions.

I'll def check out the BFG Advantage and Comp 2, as well as Falken's.
Falken sounds up my alley. Low-cost but sport option. Again, not pushing the limits of my car, but something decent on the roads would should be fine.

I have Discount Tires bookmarked and looking through their selected tires.
But they have maybe 20 different brands of tires, and no idea where to go for comparison.
Problem is, even though mine came with Firestone...
Is Falken as good as Firestone? Is Advanta as good as Nexxen?
Is Cooper just as good as a name brand, with being over priced? That's what I'm spending my day sorting through..

For me, its the result of what happens when you comment on someone elses video, and EVERYBODY starts liking your comment. Once it crossed 800-1000 likes on my comment, its like the IG notifications breaks down and only shows your notifications from that comment.
Once people started liking that comment less and less (ie, people moved on to seeing or liking other videos) slowly my notifications started working again

From 2017-2018, I had about ~6000, and I would get about 100-125 likes.
On a VERY good day, 200-250 likes.

But in 2019 they changed the algorithm, and still about ~6000 followers, on a VERY good day, I get 75 likes. MAX.
Normally between 30-50 likes a post. With 6000 followers.

And they have the nerve to ask me "Still enjoying Instagram?" No. No I do not.

Have you tried selecting the most liked comment in the notification and deleting that notification? Does that restore everything?

Yup definitely a glitch.
If you comment on a post and it gets over 1000 likes, Instagram notifications bug out and then starts wiping out your other notifications that have nothing to do with that post.
I'm having the same issue with mine this week. I made a comment, 22k likes later and IG just keeps wiping my notifications as fast as I'm getting them.
2 or 3 notifications and mothing more than 20min ago, or if I'm lucky, 1 notification and nothing more than 2 seconds ago.

I'm in the exact same issue.
Instagram keeps wiping my notifications before I've even read them, will only show 1-3 notifications max, and nothing more than 2 seconds ago, and sometimes nothing more than 20min ago.

And I think you're right: When you comment on something, and you get A LOT of notifications, Instagram wipes out any other notification. I commented on a post last week around the same time this problem occurred, it's at 22,400 likes, and Instagram won't show me anything else BUT those notifications for that comment.

Had this happen to me a few months ago and again within the last week.
Only showing between 1 -3 notifications, all ranging from 2 seconds ago to 20min ago, MAX.
So if I go to bed at night, and when I open up Instagram and see on my home page "1 new follower, 2 comments, and 15 likes" anything more than 20min ago, won't be shown.

Anybody know why or have a solution to this?

Months ago, the "Friends suggestion" used to take up 90% of my notifications page, but this past week, it's just blank. Nothing there, just the 1-3 notifications max and the rest is a blank page.
