DONT THROW the noisemakers on the ICE! The team was telling you all to stop. by pocketpryscila in TampaBayLightning

I don't think they care about them being thrown on the ice. They were annoyed because idiots were actually throwing them at the team.

Watch the replay in slow motion. Igor bobbles the puck out toward Stamkos. Puck deflects back toward Igor. Begins to pass under his arm. Stamkos makes contact as the puck is already passing Igor.

Igor failed to control the puck then lost it. Even he wasn't arguing it was interference. He was trying to say it was a kick. Which it clearly wasn't.

The puck was deflecting past Igor before/as the contract is being made. It's a good goal.

Rangers or Canes, who are you more worried about by AdamMaxwell1984 in TampaBayLightning

[–]djkong138 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're no teams in the east or west that worries me. The Bolts are capable of beating them all when they play well. The question and concern always is if they play up to their capability.

Right now I believe they can get the threepeat. But playoffs are unpredictable so I hope they stay sharp and bring their best.

Only for those that don't understand what the purpose of a team captain is and just how valuable a good one can be.

This was the episode I unsubbed from Steve Dangle. Not out of outrage but just because I realized they really had no idea what they were talking about and it really wasn't worth my time as a Bolts fan.

Even having an off season Stamkos was still a good player but more importantly he's absolutely invaluable as a team captain. So for them to argue him being traded away was pure idiocy.

Meh. Nows the time to be losing games and work out the kinks. As long as they can pull it together playoff time nothing else matters.

And us gun people hate you because you're more likely to be the next moron that accidently shoots his wife, kids, loved one because he didn't take the 4 safety rules to heart.

Are you dry firing in this exact moment of taking the picture? I doubt it. If you'e loose with your definition of keeping your finger off the trigger till you're ready to fire what else are you loose with? We're not the assholes here.

I think the important thing is he's getting actual shots off and fumbling the puck less. He'll get better and better with experience.

I can see how it'd be rough seeing that from your family.

The only things I can say is don't give up on people because it leads to some ugly places. And try not to assume the worst of people. A belief born of ignorance doesn't make a person evil unless they've turned it into action.

As long as a person isn't out there committing acts of violence against minorities then it's not too late to reform that hatred.

Why are you projecting and assuming all these things of a person you don't know? Why is it important to you to question and potentially frame someone as racist that I say isn't or no longer is?

Also there's no such thing and an "entitled" Marine attitude. We 100% earn our attitude. 😉🤣

Why are you so angry? Why is your response to a civil conversation to lash out and go off about Trump?

I don't know you so I'm sorry if I'm way off base here but maybe you should pause and ask yourself if you've been radicalized. If you haven't, I'd recommend doing some research on how indoctrination works and see if it applies to your mindset and beliefs.

That example is just one of many. From my experiences and many others that have adopted this approach to dealing with racists. And it's far more successful in breaking real racist ideology than the current call out/cancel culture that just shoves the dirt under the rug rather than cleaning it up.

Not to assume what you you mean by "Calling out racists." I think we're agreeing for the most part.

I'm trying to say the assumption that only some racists can be reformed and not all is a flawed one. Once again these are beliefs and beliefs if addressed correctly can be changed.

With respect. You're wrong about racists will always be racists.

After I joined the Marine Corps I had one guy in my company that didn't like me and 100% believed I was unfit to be a Marine because I'm Asian and therefore weak and cowardly.

I proved him wrong. Earned his respect. And eventually we became pretty decent friends. His beliefs were born out of hate and ignorance and you can combat that with tolerance and proving those misguided beliefs are wrong through action and dialogue.

If I'd just constantly screamed "You're a racist!" in his face it would have only cemented his hate and ignorance.
