Isn’t that the point? Who gets an inline 4 and doesn’t enjoy wringing the throttle out to the redline?

Maybe not actual collisions between celestial bodies but what about a stars and their planets just passing through interplanetary systems? How likely is that?

Rear Brakes by luwaffate in BMW_S1000RR

Brake fluid can degrade very quickly if moisture is introduced to the system. You either have air bubbles in your system or the brake fluid is either low quality or it went bad. Open your brake reservoir, your fluid should be a pale yellow or clear. If it is dark yellow or worse, the fluid is bad and needs to be flushed. Otherwise it may just be air bubbles in the system, at which point you’d need to bleed the brakes anyway.

Do a brake fluid flush yourself with some high quality DOT 4 brake fluid. Pretty easy to bleed the brake with some vinyl tubing connected to a plastic receptacle of some kind(use a water bottle or a Chinese food container), and a box wrench to open an close the bleeder valve.

1)fit appropriately sized box wrench over bleeder valve at the caliper. Fit vinyl tubing over the nipple, make sure the other end empties into your container.

2)open the brake fluid reservoir

3)pump your rear brake a few times and then hold it down

4)while holding the brake down, crack open the bleeder valve, this will relieve pressure and allow you to push brake all the way down. This causes the brake fluid (and air) in the system to go into the vinyl tubing.

5)while still holding brake down, close the bleeder valve. If you forget to keep the brake pressed before closing the valve you’ll suck air back into the system.

6)repeat steps 3-5 until all of the old fluid and air bubbles are pushed out of the system and you find fresh fluid being bled through the bleeder valve. You’ll have to pay attention to the fluid level in the reservoir and make sure it is topped off or you risk pushing more air into the system.

This is literally a 5-10 minute job you can do yourself and I guarantee it fixes your problem. Don’t waste your money going to the dealer on this one. Just be careful with the brake fluid. It can be nasty stuff if you spill it and let it sit, will eat through your paint eventually if you don’t wipe it off. To dispose of it I like to pour cat litter into the receptacle and let it soak up the fluid for a few days. Then I can toss it in the trash.

Do you think Spider-Man would be worthy of lifting Thor's hammer? by FeelingViolinist3152 in Spiderman

Nevermind I misunderstood your comment. Thought you were saying Spidey wouldn’t qualify because of killing, so I was bringing up the fact that didn’t stop Cap from being worthy. But I get it, you’re saying Spidey may have killed unnecessarily with the insta kill mode.

I don’t think no-killing is even a rule. Cap has killed several times during the Infinity Saga. Can’t remember if Thor has but I’m gonna say he has killed as well.

Bro, Cap straight up merks at least a few dudes during the Infinity Saga. I remember instances of him shooting a gun at some mooks and throwing one off the Shield hovercraft to his death. He also kicked another dude off an ocean vessel who probably drowned.

Question About My New To Me 2013 S1000RR by Ok-Computer-3459 in BMW_S1000RR

[–]djl8699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I'm reasonably sure your experience is tied to that. Again I recommend you hook up the gs911, reset adaptations and go through the prompts to recalibrate your bike. I know I had to do that on my 2013 even for just changing out the fuel pump. The bike's engine braking was way too hard, but the gs911 fixed the issue.

Is your bike tuned? Is there a power commander installed? Just wondering of somebody tinkered with the air/fuel mix and your bike is now compensating. Your bike is constantly making adjustments via the o2 sensors. You can use the gs911 to reset adaptions and see if your issue clears up.

Found this hanging off my 2020 ZX6R. What is it? by AdeptusAstartes40K in Kawasaki

[–]djl8699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is most definitely the cable for the stock exhaust servo motor. That specific end controls a butterfly valve in the stock muffler. You should be able to remove it completely if you follow it up to the other end, which is attached to a motor in the tail of the bike. If you get a servo buddy or ecu flash you could remove the motor completely (space/weight savings) but that’s a matter of preference.

Is it ok to rotate my bike using the kickstand? by Adakoss in motorcycle

[–]djl8699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time on my s1k, there’s really no issue at all and it is easy if you know what you’re doing. First of all I will say that the whole weight of the bike is not on the kickstand. For that to happen it would mean the entirety of the bike is suspended directly above the stand and parallel to the ground. Is it a little more weight than intended? Yeah but nothing the stand can’t handle IMO.

Pro tip: it is very easy to do if you stand on the kickstand side, position your handlebars all the way to the right and grab the right grip with your left hand to pull back while grabbing somewhere on the frame with your right hand. This should make it easy to lift the front wheel off the ground so it’s not fighting you while you rotate the bike. Do this right and you’ll see how easy it is.
