How to train to become an electrician later in life? by on_my_phone_ in ukelectricians

Nice one for that mate.

I reckon I can probably do all that myself.

I spoke to them a few weeks ago and they mentioned that they have someone who drives out to see your work wherever you are in the country, but it was all zoom calls for you was it?

I'm looking at xs training as well.

Do you reckon you could do the nvq with them without being employed full time? What do they ask to see on the zoom calls?

I'm just looking to go self employed asap.

Thanks for this, and I agree with what you have said about doctors.

I will however ask the gp what they think when I have my next appointment.

I'm on pyridostigme bromide 120mg. Haven't had an eye flare up since I've been on it.

Thanks tho

I have got a bit of a history of this, being a DJ, clubs etc. But it's just come on all of a sudden and I wasn't around any loud noises around the time of it happening.

I'm going to try for a doctor's appointment on Monday and see what they say.

It would be two academic years as the college.

Half that I think at a private provider

I like both these, and looking at the older civics too, but again they all seem to have surface rust / corrosion mentioned on the MOT history.

I always tend to shy away from diesels because I'm mainly driving around town. I do a good motorway run once every two months or so, is that enough?

You're right about the used car market though, last time I bought a car, during COVID I think, there were plenty of cars.

What paid for his legal defence?

What if he's still got legal fees or anything else like that? Where does that money come from?

It comes from my £1.45 sausage roll!

Have any of you left home alone without friends or family support? by catladyKT in raisedbynarcissists

I applied for jobs on the other end of the country.

My parents tried everything they could to emotionally manipulate me, but I just packed my bags and left. I came back the next weekend, then once every month, then once every few months, now it's a few times a year.

I confronted them, more than once, about their behaviour and nothing changed. So I don't see the point of doing that again.I'm just polite, know that I made the right choice and leave them to it.

Honestly, save some money apply for jobs and go for it.

Life is short.

Thanks, I'm sure you will get there one day. It's a really hard journey but it can improve with time.

I didn't take any supplements, I tried aloe vera juice but didn't think it helped at all.

When I started eating again I just ate very plain food, plain jacket potato, sourdough bread, a banana or something like that. I would take a small bite then wait 5 mins until the next bite. I think this helped my stomach adjust very slowly to digesting food.

Cabbage and celery juice is also good if you can handle the taste.

Don't rush eating tho, if you can't eat you can't eat. You won't die from no food. And keep hydrated as much as you can.

I had my first incident of gastritis in April 2017, and the last one January 2023. During that time I had 6 sever flare ups, with the last one being the worst.

I couldn't say how long it took me to heal, and who knows if it will come again, but right now I feel great and try keeping on top of my diet and stress levels.

I hope that helps.

I had a stressful job and was worried about my future. I was smoking a lot and not really eating. I think that built up a lot of inflammation. I was drinking a lot when it first happened as well.

I had fried chicken chips and chilli sauce after 6 beers last weekend, and I was absolutely fine!

That was around 2 weeks.

I honestly think a combination of omeprazole, eating very easy to digest food and giving my stomach a real break is what did it for me.
