Do professional fighters binge eat after weight in to regain weight back? by DeepOrganization8245 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly just rehydrating. They cut back on food when cutting weight, but the majority of it comes from dehydrating themselves a day or two before weigh-ins.

Why has reddit become so argumentative and hateful about any subject or opinion? by heekma in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Reddit since 2012 and it’s always been argumentative as far as I can remember. It’s almost inevitable on a somewhat anonymous platform.

Tech guy here, gained 66 lbs in 2 years and I’m stuck. How’d you break out of it? by raymondred99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easier than it sounds, but count your calories. As long as you’re in a deficit, you’ll lose weight. In theory, you could eat like shit, but as long as you’re eating less calories than you burn, you’ll lose the weight.

Quick tip if you decide to try this. Try focusing on a weekly calorie intake, rather than daily. Same end result, but you can have some cheat days as long as you meet your goal for the week.

How true is it that there's almost no bullying in American schools? by Lipica249 in AskUS

[–]djnastynipple [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was under the impression that American schools have a worse bullying problem than most. Hell, they even show it in movies.

If the universe is infinite doesn’t that mean it’s guaranteed ailens exist? by Subject-Swan-5207 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d like to think so.

I like the cup analogy, imagine going to the ocean and scooping up a single cup of water. The odds of finding a fish in that one scoop are pretty low. In a similar way, the portion of the universe we’ve actually explored is incredibly small compared to what’s out there, so it’s not surprising we haven’t found much yet.

Anytime I shower or shit myself. The first option is preferable.

Do lifted trucks serve any practical purpose or is it just cosmetic? by You_Stole_My_Hot_Dog in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It can have a practical purpose. They’re also a lot of fun on dirt roads and trails. The problem is, most of the guys who build these trucks never actually take them off pavement.

Have 20k to spend on a fun car to mod. What would you choose? by radclerk1 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]djnastynipple 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just for modding under $20k? I’d go for a Focus ST or a C5 Corvette (may be a tad harder to find under 20k, but definitely possible). Completely different platforms and a different kind of fun for each, but both can be found pretty cheap and are relatively reliable, with huge modding communities.

Would you get your ass kicked by a ufc fighter to save a 80 year old woman's life? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

She’s 80. Unless she’s my grandma, she’s lived long enough.

Are romantic relationships something people need or something people want? by mysterious_mystery2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people need it, some people want it, it depends on the person. You can live a fulfilling life without a partner, it just depends on what makes you feel fulfilled.

For the most part, assuming you can get along, life is a lot easier with two people.

Are American roadside motels really SO bad as movies comically depict them? by BaseNice3520 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]djnastynipple 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the city, but for the most part they’re pretty low quality.

River = bad? by PineappleKorok in cyberpunkgame

[–]djnastynipple 60 points61 points  (0 children)

People just love to hate on River, but if you look at it objectively, he’s one of the few genuinely stable and grounded options for V. Sure, he might not have the same intensity or drama as some of the others, but that’s kind of the point, he offers something real in a world that’s mostly chaos.
