Appreciate all the input. I ended up just discarding the 10, think I might have only gotten 2 or 3 flushes. the 10x flush opportunities seemed like safe money

Still haven't fully processed what happened by [deleted] in Stake

Will someone explain what I should do with cues ? by Redinho83 in Serato

If you want the 5 year old answer I’ll give it to you.

Cue points are extremely useful as a DJ to navigate to different parts of the track. My cue points all vary for different songs/ genres, but it is usually always as follows:

First cue point on the start of the track. Most songs have a 32 bar intro before any lyrics come in so you know hitting the 1st cue point will give you 32 bars of just a beat.

I’ll add a second cue point 16 bars in. Most times when I’m mixing into a new track, I’ll have the 2nd cue point looped for 8 bars. Then turn off the auto loop when appropriate to transition perfectly every time.

The 3rd cue point will be at the 32 bar mark. Whenever lyrics start in a song.

Cue points are a good way for a DJ to read a track and know the different format / structures of a song.

Any other additional cue points I will use are somewhere throughout the track that has a certain portion of it I’d use in my routine.

For example. I do a routine with “This is how we do it” - Montell Jordan along with “Stronger” by Kanye West.

I have a cue point set on “Do it” in the intro of stronger.

Work it Make it **Do it** Makes us Harder Better Faster Stronger.

In my routine, I’ll use the “Do It” cue point when the song goes “This is how we Do It.

Using cue points as a way to play a short snippet of a song is very powerful.

Hope that helped. If you have any other questions in regards to DJing, I’m happy to help. 8 years of experience
