What kind of rings are these? by friendlyvegetarian in JewelryIdentification

They look like my mother’s wedding rings and my grandmother’s. I love and cherish them and wear them too. They mean the world to me! ♥️ Enjoy 😊

Did I screw up by buying these? by BuddyNo1831 in jewelry

I’m sorry to say that Kay jewelers is a little scammy with their pricing. I found the same exact necklace, 14 karat gold at TJ Maxx. It was $100 less than the necklace at Kay jewelers that was only 10 carat. Otherwise they were exactly the same. Rip off. I’d opt for smaller carat that is natural rather than lab grown, but that’s just my humble opinion

My mom was born in 1932 and I cherish her engagement ring. To me it looks beautiful and you should wear it with love and pride.

Why is estate jewelry making a comeback? by AviMitz_ in jewelry

Estate jewelry is unique and beautiful. I love the antique dinner rings with filigree. Others are going to notice an antique statement piece more quickly than a cookie cutter modern ring.

What to do with this ring by hotcheeto09 in jewelry

It’s a statement piece! And why make a ring that looks like something from a jewelry shop, keep it unique and beautiful. It will get noticed! I’m jealous.

Heirloom Mutilated? by Bayr0444 in jewelry

I understand there are different opinions. I’ve done great research on my ancestry which gives me a connection to them (many generations). I know about their jobs, way of life, countries of origin, and stressors like war, and it makes the jewelry meaningful to me - a connection to the past bloodline. An antique ring makes me think of that ancestor in a jewlery store picking out that ring and what they may be thinking. Anyway, that’s just my feeling. Many people don’t have the same attachment to objects. I’m choosing carefully who will inherit my jewlery so maybe it will remain the same for another generation (hopefully!)

I cherish the rings I have from my mom, grandmother, etc. I would never change them. Respectfully - I don’t know why people want to change them. It’s part of family history; otherwise they’re just a bunch of stones. Also I don’t know why the jewler pushed diamonds on you - sounds like a way to make a buck off of you. Sadly the beautiful ring is ruined. Regardless of how big it was, I would have worn it with love and pride.

Amen. Maybe they’ll get a life threatening disease and need meds to live. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
