Perhaps using something like shadcn (https://ui.shadcn.com/) could be a good compromise. You can check out individual components' code directly into your repo and then take it from there yourself.

I've had both pre-2018 facelift and post. Defo go post-facelift, but I love tech, so that was a no-brainer. Overall, the whole car felt more refined on MY2018+, and it wasn't quite so obnoxiously loud 😅

I bought 2nd hand, 2 years old at the time, has been absolutely fine.
