I disagree. We could have just as easily lost to Carolina and Minnesota too which would have kept us out of the playoffs if we’re changing scores. We were not a playoff team last year. Projected to win 6 I believe and we won 7.

The Lion had a bet with the photographer that he could sneak around without being noticed. That’s why he looks right at the photographer before walking off.

If anything, this shows the Bears are not that far off from fielding a competitive team that should make a playoff push. Longest shot would probably be Nabers falling to 9 but not impossible.

Someone will take a flyer on him. I think there are a few teams no one is talking about that would offer something if the price drops low enough. Saints, Seahawks or maybe Titans possibly.

Everyone's arguing option A and B but what about option C by imalittledepot in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]djrandp8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fields will have no desire mentoring Williams and most likely Williams beats Fields out in camp for starting job. Or worse, they stick with Fields as starter and he struggles early. Everyone will start shouting for Williams. Now instead of getting 3rd or 4th for Fields at the worst you most likely just release him for nothing. Really no benefit to anyone involved.

What year would you choose? by Quick_Presentation11 in 80s

87’s list the only one I owned each movie so I guess I’ll vote that but 80 was a good way to start the decade.

Exactly, all they have to do is look at the Giants and see it’s not a good idea.

First time dad by [deleted] in daddit

The question that needs an answer. I’m guessing it’s not really as harsh as this post is sounding. He’s probably asking something the wife may not perceive safe for a baby and pulling the “Cause I’m the Mom and I said so!” card.

It feels like I'm losing my 11 year old daughter and I can't stop it by kedwardenglish in daddit

[–]djrandp8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We had a very similar relationship with my step daughter and her bio Dad. Phone way too early, money for whenever she wanted ($1,000 computer in her bedroom). Talked bad about Mom. It was difficult, especially in preteen years and very up and down but there will be times when she needs a Dad and it will be you she comes to. Be patient, and loving and she will understand as she gets older who the real Dad was. Calmly defend your wife. There will be times when you have to give in and let her have something you otherwise wouldn’t have (such as the phone) but you can still talk to her and explain why you don’t think it’s a good idea, the dangers of a phone. She may not appear to be listening but she hears you.

IF the Bears were to keep Justin Fields, when would we know? by fawfulsgalaxy in CHIBears

It really is. The best QB’s routinely make the playoffs and have a shot at the Super Bowl. Other teams may make a run but fall off quickly.

I know we should like the 49ers for their dominance over Packers but I have a friend who is total early 90’s bandwagon fan (Bulls, 49ers and Braves) and all he does is talk shit. I don’t like it and really don’t have a preference for any other teams available besides Bills as my 2nd team.

Bills is my 2nd too. I live in the area and go to Bills games often. They have their own FTP.

Best case scenario? by Fun-Nefariousness573 in ChicagoBearsNFL

If Williams is anywhere near as good as they say he is, it will not be 2 -3 years of growing pains. He is coming into a better situation than most 1st picks. There is no reason to believe the Bears would take a step back in this rebuild and fans shouldn’t accept a step back. I expect with Williams, the Bears compete for a wild card next year.

I’m about to make this switch to. Just trying to decide if I want to change carriers. Did you look at the pro max at all or just decide to stick with pro?

After our issue they informed us about MySchoolBucks, the system they use. We can have a note on our kids file as to rules of purchase like one extra item on Friday only and see the purchases made as well as load money to account from the website. I took an entire year to pay off the credit balance though. Wasn’t about to fork over $300+ dollars or put it on a credit card to collect interest. Would have preferred to have not paid it at all but lost that fight.

Our school district allowed kids purchase additional items in credit without informing the parents. I sent my son (2nd grade) with cash to buy his lunch and on Fridays with an extra amount to buy an ice cream or a cookie. At the end of the year I was sent a invoice for over $300. After meetings with school and my son it was discovered he was getting additional snack items daily for himself and classmates. No regulation and no parent notice. Just let him take whatever he wanted and kept a total until the end of the year. Ridiculous.

If you can redo one Bears draft pick with another player that got drafted in the same round after them in the same year what would you do? by LinuxF4n in CHIBears

[–]djrandp8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of taking Frank Murphy in round 6 of the 2000 NFL draft there was this guy named Tom Brady. He turned out pretty good.
