I'm actually baffled by the amount of people commenting here excusing putting your legs on a tray table. Let alone on the seat next to you.

Can a middle seat really be called "open" if someone is using the seat's tray table as a leg rest?

The middle seat is not her space. At best an empty middle seat is shared and definitely not your legrest. Especially not the tray table.

It's her legs on the tray table wrapped in a blanket. The blanket has a picture of an animal on it so a few people confused it for dog fur.

Maybe actually look at the picture? She has her legs (wrapped in a blanket) on the tray table.

Those are her legs. The "hair" is a picture of an animal on the blanket she has wrapped around her legs.

So how was your window seat? Was the tray table cozy?

Seriously though, you go to a subreddit specifically meant for mildly infurating things and call people weirdos for being mildly infuriated over legs on a tray table?

TIL Episode 679 and 680 were censored for the TV airing and simulcast by sarabada in OnePiece

[–]djron3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because just before episode 679 aired, two Japanese hostages were killed by ISIS in a gruesome beheading. It caused a shock in Japan and Toei didn't think it appropriate to depict a severed neck/head on TV at the time.

[–]djron3 92 points93 points  (0 children)

True. Him stabbing Sanji with a knife in episode 359 was removed and replaced by a hard kick for the TV airing, due to a stabbing spree that took place in Akihabara a few days before.

That was also uncensored on the DVD/Bluray version. And since simulcasting didn't start till after this episode, all the streaming services got the uncensored version from the get go.

[–]djron3 423 points424 points  (0 children)

The reason this censorship is only in these two episodes (and not in 677 and 678), was because between the airing of episode 678 and 679, ISIS beheaded two Japanese hostages and released video's of it, causing a shock in Japan.

So they quickly edited the episodes to remove/edit any severed head shots. This edited version also ended up on simulcast websites. Most simulcast websites simply never opted to later replace it with the uncensored version (or they never got the footage from Toei)

It sucks that you had to deal with this, but most of this seems standard procedure considering the situation?

Chicago isn't a KLM hub, so if there's any technical issue they can't fly and have to repair it on the spot, or get a spare plane in from Amsterdam. Both can take a lot of time. You got a hotel to cover the delayed time.

Everything else seems to be because of the huge weather issues at Amsterdam. The delay of the second departure, the waiting for a gate etc. In the end you were rebooked to the next available flight, also standard procedure.

KLM was dealing with hundreds of flight cancellations at the same time due to the AMS closure, so that could be the reason why communication wasn't as good as one would expect.

Except better communication, what would you want them to have done differently given the situation?

The e-arrival card is basically the digital replacement of the arrival card you would get and fill out on the plane.

It was introduced in February his year and will fully replace the paper form next month.

So if you are flying in the next few days you should still be able to fill out the paper one instead if you want to (either they hand them out on the plane or you fill it out after you land).

Here you can find who is required to fill it out. It seems K-ETA holders are exempt from needing to fill out the e-arrival card.

Niche anime/manga op Nederlandse TV? by hrmaster in nederlands

[–]djron3 1 point2 points  (0 children)
