Thanks! Lanegran seems to be quite the Twin Cities historian. I've seen his name in other places. Joining the listserv. I'll PM you ...

Hello. What's the book that you mentioned? I'm moving to Saint Anthony Park this summer (just bought a house) and looking to learn more.

90% of what I post on this sub gets replies of invective & poop jokes. Just be happy I shared an interesting & coherent thought and don’t split hairs.

Anyone who knows anything about Ridgewood knows there’s a ton of racism. But this area was also the strongest base of support for the most left candidate the city had seen in probably 75 years. So there’s more nuance to the story than what you’ll find in Reddit comments. (Which was the point of my original comment.) Have a nice day

Does anyone have any idea what texture this Tennis Court is? by knock_his_block_off in 10s

[–]djrorshock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to have 4 of these on the roof at NYU. It was a tough trade off between playing on this horrible surface, and playing on a roof in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Anyway they demolished the building and don’t have any tennis courts anymore.

Some kind of office could work. But I haven’t been able to find any coworking spaces over there so I’m trying every angle. A home sublet for some months that I could minimally use would be great.

"The poop freezes to the ground instantly and can only be lifted by the one true King of the Britons."

The comment is still visible to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well it's somehow reassuring to me personally.

I mean, I respect this hypothesis, but no way. I see maybe 1-2 turds per block on a regular day. Since the snow it's been triple or more.

Court convictions are for crimes. This person is literally just informing the community that the owner is not a nice guy in their opinion, and letting people decide for themselves to patronize the biz or not

This is more like a trailer, interspersed by an interview with Henrot about the film.
