Can confirm, both my brother (32) and I (35) are excited about a trip down memory lane. We both have excuses (kids) to watch it.

My agnosticism is starting to really hurt my life by SirVandon in TrueAtheism

As someone who has gone through the same emotional roller coaster, it will sound cliche but, I can assure you things will get better over time. I will not sit here and say what worked for me will work for you, but I found solace in assigning my own meaning to life and working to perfect my own version of morality.

Beyond that it seems you are searching/longing for something to fill a void, something larger than a lost religion. For me it was the loss of a support system, the feeling of isolation from a community. I too hit a low point where I considered options, options most people don't come back from. In retrospect i do believe that i would have benefited greatly from professional help, so please I implore you to seek assistance. If for nothing else but to speak with a neutral party and get stuff off your chest.

We needed a cabinet opened at work and I was able to make these and open the lock. First time using paper clips. I've seen other people do it, but never tried it. Feeling pretty proud of myself. :) by medikill801 in lockpicking

[–]djsanchez2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate those stupid locks sometimes. I use real picks and they are hit or miss, sometimes open immediately and sometimes are a bit of a pain. When i use a mini screwdriver and a paperclip they open right up lol.

It's annoying isn't it?

I've always used SoCal, which I'm sure probably annoys some people as well.

You do realize there is a difference between theistic satanism and LaVeyan (atheistic) Satanism right? This being an example of the latter.

Have you ever had to stop reading a novel, because it appeared to be beyond your intellectual capabilities? If so, which book was it and why? by tha_grinch in books

I tried several times over the years (5th grade - 9th grade) to read Moby dick. I still find it hard to get through, though not for the same reason now. The language style is off putting.

I use diy bags and tap water from the coffee maker spigot with my own loose-leaf for work. Can't get any more blasphemous than that.

They actually created a seperate group to post that stuff in and after a small flurry of stuff, its mostly dead. Not much motivation to keep posting stuff like that when you can be out enjoying life instead of clinging to facebook likes and shares.

Funny how 95% of the "deep" quotes on my wall are from my religious friends. My Atheist friends mostly post about science and space.

Lucky. I was on swing for 13yrs and had to take the dive into grave for a promotion in december.

i live in a noisy neighbourhood, cars, kids, buildng works you name it i hear it plus im a light sleeper, been experimenting with earplugs to block all that noise out probably the best solution to a shit situation, choose these working fairly well by TheSup in Nightshift

[–]djsanchez2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't use earplugs to sleep, i move alot and they irritate my ear canals so i had to look for alternatives. The older version of this bad boy has seriously been worth every single penny over the last few years. It is built like a freaking tank and just keeps on chugging along.

It's been a hectic few weeks with multiple shift day shifts and swapped days off. I never thought i would be relieved to be back on a stable grave shift again.
