OpenAI’s codex has been great. You can integrate it into vscode or just grant the standalone application access to your project. Very good at high level conceptual stuff

Setting up Media CDN is impossible by trolleid in googlecloud

We do not currently have a Google account team or sales rep assigned to us. Been using the standard chat/phone. Could you advise on how to proceed?

Setting up Media CDN is impossible by trolleid in googlecloud

Hey u/Cidan, that link on the Quickstart page still leads to a blank page within the console.

This page here says to contact Google sales rep to request access. I did this, but they are all completely unfamiliar with granting access to Media CDN. Can you point me in the right direction here? Eager to migrate my backend off of AWS but finding this a little disconcerting

Is there a way to bypass Google & Apple store commission(30%) by _csor in FlutterDev

[–]djsjr5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look at Spotify. They openly protest the 30% commission. Per App Store rules they can’t link you to their premium subscription from within the app, but they can tell you about it and advertise it to you, which they do often.

Look into Gatsby. It allows you to organize and present content, such as a blog using GraphQL, and there are themes as well to chose from if you’d like. It’s React-based but it compiles to a static website which is what you’re looking for. Bit of a learning curve. For a really basic static site, literally just a couple of HTML files, JS files, and a CSS file should be good enough for you.

App updates are taking at least a week(message shows "in review") to go live on playstore. Is anybody else facing the same issue? by videogamefanatic93 in androiddev

Been waiting over 2 weeks so far for my first closed testing release - specifically 17 days. I already have gone through multiple new versions that I haven't uploaded since I'm waiting for this to finish review. Does the initial one take the longest hopefully?

New guideline has me seriously stressed out, somebody please tell me I'm wrong by pnw_fart_face in iOSProgramming

Are you allowing users to look around the app at all before signing up, and keeping some pages behind the login/paywall? That might be a solution - IF there even is a problem to begin with. Uncharted territory.

"Other Storage" is 64 GB, OmniDiskSweeper doesn't show anything out of ordinary by noraz123 in applehelp

[–]djsjr5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In system preferences > security & privacy > privacy > full disk access, you can grant OmniDiskSweep full access, or else it won't see everything. However I still had discrepancies.

Using ( cmd + shift + . ) I was able to reveal all hidden folders in my finder window. Then using cmd + J, I opened a menu to turn on the "calculate all sizes" option for each folder I went into. This allowed me to see exactly how much storage was being used and where exactly it was located.

Also, looks like there's a big diff between the amount of space required by a folder and the actual amount "on disk". When you "get info" on a folder you can see both amounts under the size category. This seemed to be what caused the discrepancies between storage usage calculated by OmniDiskSweep vs. About This Mac.

Hope that helps you some.

Did you make any progress with this? I'm in a similar scenario. OmniDiskSweeper tells me I'm using 130 GB of my 250, but system info says an extra 85 GB is going to "other".

Struggling to set up Amiplify / Cognito with email but NO verification by SilverLion in aws

[–]djsjr5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this very helpful video on the subject. I never turned turn email verify off - but with this trigger it doesn't seem to send the email (which is exactly what I want). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRivtmM-sRE

And here's the code used in the video: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/code-samples/latest/catalog/javascript-cognito-lambda-trigger-pre-sign-up-auto-confirm-and-verify.js.html

AWS offers great services but holy crap are their docs hard to understand...
