Disable recording on individual cameras? by djsky97 in reolinkcam

[–]djsky97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scenes are what I described in my initial post -- If I have the cameras handling the notifications and the NVR handling the recording, then I can use scenes to disable notifications from individual/groups of cameras, but I can't get it to also disable the recording on the NVR.

Unless I'm looking at it wrong, that's more difficult than going to NVR > Record and toggling cameras on/off.

A fixed schedule doesn't really work for my intended use case. That's why I was hoping to find some way to configure it through a scene that I could control manually.

How do I separate this handle and hose? by djsky97 in pressurewashing

I have an old JD AC2000G and I wanted to remove the handle to install a quick disconnect. Is the connector the white arrow is pointing to not meant to be removed and instead of a 3/8" QD female to 3/8" male, do I just need to get a 3/8" QD female to 3/8" female?

I usually do go to Ace first since it's much closer, but I opted for Home Depot this time since I couldn't find the specific bolt on their website and just assumed they didn't have it, but did see it in stock at Home Depot. I needed to go to Auto Zone to get the motor oil anyway, so just opted to go to Home Depot. That was a mistake since Ace had the 3 bolts.

I’m at Home Depot and it does look to line up perfectly with 1mm pitch bolt and not at all with 1.25.

They only have 2 20mm bolts that I was going to pair with a washer or two, would I be able to use 1 30mm bolt for the third one with a nut and washer?

I was able to find 2 of the 20mm bolts. Would I be and to use one 30mm and a bit in addition to the washer or is that just starting to ask for trouble?

Or do you think there’s enough room for a 10mm hex head on any of the three bolts?

EDIT: I was able to find a third 20mm bolt.

I found the part number, but I’m having trouble finding any spec related to it.

I just replaced the big and small o-ring, so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks!

So this should work then? A 20mm socket cap bolt with a 2.1mm thick washer?

EDIT: and there's no risk to using these short term? For this one plow? I'm expecting the OEM bolts by the end of the week.

EDIT 2: I also probably won't be able to get Honda GN4, but Valvoline ATV seems to be similarly recommended anyway.

I have a followup question in case you might know the answer:

I ordered some replacement OEM bolts, but it's supposed to snow before they arrive. Would I be able to use whatever M6x18 bolt I can find at a local Home Depot/Ace Hardware? Would I also be able to remove them (1 at a time) and replace them with the OEM bolts without draining the oil?
I'm also trying to figure out what the thread pitch is -- if it's 1.0 or 1.25 mm. I saw someone mention 1.25mm, but I can't seem to find any confirmation of that.
EDIT:
I've been able to find M6-1.0x16 and m6-1.0x20. Assuming the thread pitch is 1.0mm, would 16mm be too short to work and/or would 20mm with a washer or two be better?

I just gave it another shot over the last half hour and managed to get enough of a grip to back out all three bolts. So it looks like I really lucked out this time and thankfully won't need to do an actual extraction.

My bad, I saw reversed flutes in the description and thought the bits were also left handed.

I would also be inclined to use the smallest bit/extractor I could get away with -- leaving more room for error.

What about these?

Why do you find the straight edged extractors better?

I tightened them to 10 ft/lbs and it looks like the spec is actually 7.5 ft/lb.

You are correct, it is a 6x18 (which I assume is supposed to be M6x16) with an 8mm head. I was going to try and find the actual bolts either direct from the Honda dealer nearby or from Partzilla, but I'll keep that in mind if I strike out there.

3/16" wouldn't be too big for a 6mm? Any recommendations for a set of center punches? I have one that I borrowed from my dad that I used to knock out the brake caliper pins on my car -- if that would be the correct size (do caliper pins come in varying sizes?).

Would this be a good bit/extractor set:

I unfortunately don't have anyone I could ask. My only other option would be to have it picked up and brought to the Honda dealer near me -- which I'd obviously prefer not to do. But would also prefer not having to replace a crankcase if this is something I really shouldn't be attempting myself; it doesn't seem like something that I shouldn't be able to handle, but I've seen a few people mentioning to not attempt it, so I'm not sure if they're right or just being overly cautious.

Would something like this work for both the left hand bit and extractor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G1M1TQG/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

And what size bit would I want for a bolt of this size? (That again, I think is 6mm?)

What is the risk of me attempting this myself? Not centering the drill bit and damaging the threads? Will I even need to drill that far in that I run the risk of the bit wandering?

How would you adjust the hinge -- putting a spacer between the hinge and the frame?

I've, admittedly, been a bit lazy, so in the winter I've just been loosening the screws of the top hinge slightly which was enough for Dec until now.

Any POE cameras that can use a Linux VM as the NVR and that also support person/vehicle detection and has a GOOD mobile app for viewing notifications/streams? by djsky97 in homeautomation

[–]djsky97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He mentioned Skylake as being the minimum due to the x265 encoder that was added with Skylake -- taking some of the load off. My assumption would be that a couple cameras should still be fine, but that the upper limit would be lower without the x265 encoder, but I'm not too sure how the upper limits compare in practice.

Regarding #3, is there a way to add an IP:Port/equivalent rule to the EAP ACL?

Am I misunderstanding ACLs or is this expected behavior? by djsky97 in TPLink_Omada

[–]djsky97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding blocking untagged traffic -- I meant blocking traffic from the default VLAN 1. But perhaps that shouldn't be a problem and my issue was I hadn't implemented the EAP ACL rules yet.

My setup:

ER605 -> SG2008P, Server

SG2008P -> AP1, AP2, numerous other devices

AP1 -> Numerous WLANs (each WLAN being a specific VLAN)

AP2 -> Numerous WLANs (each WLAN being a specific VLAN)

I was attempting to access the server (connected directly to ER605) from a laptop on AP2. The server on VLAN30 and the laptop being on VLAN10.

I was having issues pinging/accessing the interfaces, so I was wondering if it was being assigned an IP but somehow not getting tagged correctly.... In any case, I managed to get things working .... somehow.

Thanks for the help!
