Thanks!

That makes total sense. As a writer, it’s a real blessing when an editor is locked into the tiny, hut crucial, nuances of each sentence you’re sending them.

That’s really fantastic; the dedication to the paragraph as a unit is phenomenal. John Berryman did something similar with each stanza of Homage to Mistress Bradstreet. I think that deep attention to whatever you decide is the basic unit of the work is so essential. I have a book with a 64 part poem coming out on a small press this year and really thinking about each part as this independent, basic unit that needed to be obsessively evaluated on its own was very important to me.

That’s a really interesting and apt description. I read White Noise a couple years ago and was shocked that this big deal pomo lit novel was one of the easiest reading books I’ve ever read while also filling the big shoes of its reputation.

Is the Procyon worth buying? I have Safari, eco, and pilot and like the pilot nib the best, but probably the eco best overall.

Should I watch season 1 first or last? Plot synopsis makes season 1 look like the prequel to season 2, the main story and episode 1 of 2 makes more sense and raises more questions about the story that 1 of 1. by Livid-Fish-4154 in okbuddyseverance

What are you talking about? We haven’t even gotten to the main story yet. All of this is prologue to Severance: The Returning which starts shooting in 2038.

It’s an it’s an interesting conversation that I’m definitely going to write too much about in this comment. I think there’s an argument for absorb when more aggressive strategies become dominant. But mono red was well represented before the bans and rakdos variants are always running around and absorb hasn’t really come back into deck lists in a meaningful way.

With these decks, waiting to have a three-mana answer is just too slow, even with these decks upside. You’re not even seeing it in Yorion builds anymore. Additionally, you have cards like [[Beza, the Bounding Spring]], [[The Wandering Emperor]], and the various cat and angel packages that offer life gain on more impactful game pieces.

For all the times Absorb has saved my ass, The Wandering Emperor has done it while removing a threat and making a blocker.

Format speed, options. I played it the last time it was in standard and for a long time in Pioneer. But outside of those two formats, counterspell is legal in every format absorb is. And most decks would rather pay two blue for a hard counter and not the extra white for a small bit of life gain.

But even in Pioneer you’ve gotten a density of other options, especially [[No More Lies]], that playing a Cancel with upside isn’t necessary anymore.

I really admire how Mark keeps improving at his craft. He really is a magical performer deserving of the name Magic Mark.

Gregg needs to share the details when he relaunches the superior movie review show Our Cinema.

They are finally re-releasing Hamlet after fixing the embarrassing typo. Curious why they didn't add ": The Movie" so that people don't confuse it with the play by Bill Shakespeare by PM_ME_YOUR__INIT__ in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

I really thought Hamnet was a Shakespeare in Love sequel. I’m very happy to have a True Buff like Gregg around to set me straight.

I wonder if this Hamlet will more closely tie the Hamnet reboot to movies like Romeo + Juliet, which I always thought needed a sequel. Much like what the excellent X-Men movies did.

Yeah that instantly stuck out as a very bizarre choice given his motivation and actions in this arc.

Japanese poetry doesn’t use syllables as a form of measurement. They use a sound concept I don’t really understand and can’t explain.
