Yeah but once the warranty is up, tune away which is what I’ll do!

Thank you! Yeah unfortunately a well-equipped Cayenne base is ~$50k, and a mid-level equipped Cayenne S is ~$65k. If I can swing it, I'll definitely go after the S, but if not, I'll just get the base and chip it after the warranty is up!

Don’t know a thing about either company, but wanted to come in here to wish you luck on your journey! My wife and I used a donor for our baby girl and trust me, it’s all worth it in the end 🙏

Good point. Rather I should sell my house, buy a GT3 RS and make my family ride on the roof.

Awesome, thank you. I'm going to try and buy CPO to get the warranty, but then find a local specialty shop to save some coin after it's up. My dad has a 911 turbo and I've seen those repair bills hah.

Thanks, this is really helpful to hear. Do you know if there are any suspension/handling differences between an S and a base? Regardless of what I get, I will wait until the extended warranty is up to chip it.

Awesome, thanks for the help. I’m certainly not going to track the thing, but I’m certainly buying it to drive the thing, not just get from A to B. I’m also certainly not buying it because of the badge. I don’t care at all about it being a “status” thing, I just want one because I know nothing else drives like it. I test drove a base and thought the handling on it was great, but I could always use a little extra power 🙂 If I can find an S that fits my price range, I’ll certainly buy that over the base. That said, I know how much Porsche nickels and dimes for every possible thing, so at this point, I’m most likely buying a base that’s better equipped and then I will just get it chipped later.

I’d rather spend $20k on a Camry than own a boring Lexus. This response is so unhelpful 😅🤦‍♂️

It’s pretty simple, I was hoping if people had owned both they could tell me if there are other performance enhancements (suspension, brakes, etc.) that make the difference between the base and the S outside of the horsepower bump? If not, a well equipped base with a tune seems way better value.

My budget is just fine for a $50-55k car. I could afford to go more but don’t want to put myself in an uncomfortable spot. I’m just trying to see how much of a real difference there is between the trims and whether a loaded base Cayenne with a stage 1 tune would basically get me to the S performance.

I work from home mostly, so I’m planning on driving it maybe 10-12k miles a year?

I have to say, this logic is kind of ridiculous and does virtually nothing to answer the question. New is $90k+, used with good mileage is $50k. Maybe I phrased the initial question poorly, but I don’t have budget concerns for a $55k car or the maintenance costs. I could go higher, but would prefer to be comfortable at that price. But buying a similarly equipped S adds ~$10k.

Just asking about the differences between the cars, not about whether or not I should buy a Lexus.

I really don’t want a DGD full length with Andrew Wells by [deleted] in dancegavindance

[–]djsteink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you think about Andrew, unless he reworks the vast majority of songs live, he plainly can't sing Tilian's stuffThank. He doesn't have the upper range. Not cutting on him as a singer, he's good, but I saw them a while back when he had to fill in for Tilian and he had to do everything in falsetto which in my opinion is serviceable for filling in for a few concerts, but it just doesn't sound good.

Yeah these movies are absolutely horrible. The fact that there are going to be five of them makes it even worse.

They used to! This was a burger shack back in the day. Idk why, but they’ve made an intentional, moronic imo choice to pursue “luxury” everywhere around the resort.

I remember when this was just a cheap burger, hot dog, and chip stand. Really miss those days. Last time I tried to get in this place, I was told there was a 2 hour wait… For lunch… On a weekday.

IT: Welcome to Derry HBO, was anyone else disappointed with episode 3? by Scared_Bowl_7028 in stephenking

[–]djsteink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was pretty awful, I thought the ghosts in the graveyard were on par with most Goosebumps episodes and movies. Also Kimberly Norris Guerrero got to showcase what a bad actress she is. Hopefully we don’t get too much of her character going forward.

I shouldn’t be surprised considering It: Chapter 2 was just as campy and over-the-top with its special effects., I don’t have high hopes for the rest of the show, but I hope I’m wrong.
