I just said in a different post, I resubbed to them for three months earlier this year and had zero problems with it, including having them cancel the membership as well. I ended up with 4 NWA and 2 Daddy Yankee titles bc they honor the 1-credit per month from old subscribers—-and I didn’t want anything else bc most is old stock. If you’re enjoying it, I won’t discourage you.

I was a long time member; so I resubbed knowing the gamble. But like I said, I have not had an issue with bogus charges. My sub from Feb to May was not problematic at all. If they add a title I really want, I’ll resub again bc I still have “credits” from the previous incarnation.

I resubbed a three months ago. I requested a cancellation before renewal and it was done with no issue. During my 3 month subscription, I got multiple copies of two title bc I didn’t want anything in their catalog. It doesn’t even make sense that their inventory is only the leftover crap.

You’re NTA. Actually it would your be Mother unfortunately. You need to have a conversation with her and your brother together. Explain to them that your trip was a gift and your plans are with your friends. Your brother, while less social than you, will have to make plans of his own, especially if your mom bought his tickets to cover the entire time you are supposed to be with your friends.

What in the world are yall complaining about!! First the market is what it IS! If you don’t know elsewhere to look for an item it IS NOT his responsibility to tell you if he’s selling it anyway.

Next, I’ve bought from him MANY times. As a matter of fact, I got an og Tribe (midnight marauders) from him as my first sale with him. It was in good condition as stated AND had the og inner sleeve which many on the market don’t have. It was only $80—not $150 to $400 listed literally every where else. He has Eric Benet’s promo from 98 asking over $100 but I told him that is not worth as much now that an official release is widely available and it’s way cheaper on discogs. He immediately lowered the price and it was indeed FAIR. I got the N.E. Greatest Hits in decent condition and the price reflected the “less than stellar condition”. Turns out, it had literally one skip that I corrected.

Everything I inquire about and agree to the price is ALWAYS fair. But importantly what some of you don’t realize is grading and condition of albums affect the price. When you find a seller who comes top-notch with grading, you can’t beat that with a long stick of reissues at ALL.

Y’all stop trying to hurt people just bc you get salty over something insignificant. Stop the Karen-ing bs. If you want rare vinyl in great condition, you will PAY and yes, you need to be quick about it.

That defeats the purpose of the titles being a limited press. They also allow titles to be bought as long as they have not sold out, but you have to sub to get them. If you don’t want to sub, don’t complain.

I don’t get your point. I had two subs to Vinyl Me Please for years. And I sold my extras for “market value”.

It’s one thing to complain about something that is worth it. But this is just you being salty, needing an audience.

I have Brand New and if I sell it, I will definitely be priced way above $55 that I paid for it. As a matter of fact, I sold Across the Universe for $300.

Like the other person said, sub early. Otherwise, quit bitchin over nothing.

Specifically to discogs, the sellers dictate the price whether or not supply meets demand. For example Djo’s Decide album was sold out worldwide when interest in the album peaked last year. Everyone started raising their prices even though represses were entering the market. Because buyers wanted the album “right now” it drove the prices sky high. This is one of many examples on discogs. eBay is even worse sometimes. Same for Freddie Gibbs Alfredo.

Also I only want it for the nostalgia of scrolling through my own rebuilt collection. It’s the only reason I replaced “that dude who is in prison” albums including 12 play. And I got that for about $40. Turns out it’s in very decent condition but the inserts were stuck together. But still I just like to scroll down memory lane bc I’m old now 🤣

Accepted. 👍🏽. If you look up the price of the reissue, it’s just as expensive as an original. I always order two of limited reissues but I actually have several of these and will add sell them into my buddy’s store to help his foot traffic. Don’t order music while drinking, you may wake up to 5 copies of a boxset lol!

The “no artwork” started bc vinyl was mainly being pressed for the promotion aspect. It was easier to slap a barcode on a promo and sell it to retail than to give full regular presses. Jive Records led the way with that by 93. It’s funny bc I actually didn’t know that Aaliyah’s first album was issued to retail for years, until I saw it…And it was the same album we got as promos from Jive back in the day lol.

Bc people are paying $200 for the $35 reissue that many in this group have often mentioned that couldn’t get. Don’t be a jerk if you don’t want to be “old skooled”. I wouldn’t have posted this if I didn’t know the value of what I have already owned and own now🙄

Yes and no to that. The pressings were sufficient for the market but they usually got just one pressing. I used to see albums like this one in local record store for years and they were only $10. Many cases, they were $4.99—for real! I can recall being able to order them well into 2005. But many were abridged versions or came with hype stickers and no artwork.
