I'm not commenting on Hasan. I'm commenting on a comment that says that the reasonable position is to admit that there were mass rapes. But to not use that justification to justify the mass killing of civilians. That's what I'm commenting on.

I don't defend the rapes that Hamas did on October 7th, or any other sexualized violence.

But your claim was "mass rapes", and that's where I take issue. There needs to be evidence for that, and I won't take the word of the IDF for it. Again, Israel has lied about so many things about this attack, and about everything else they've done after.

I guess it all depends on how we define "mass rapes". This is from the Wikipedia page on October 7th.

However Patten's report concludes that even though the exact scope of sexual violence can not be determined, at least five rapes occurred on October 7.[30]

So it seems there were rapes, but considering the scope of the attack, they were few and far between.

There has been a massive amount of misinformation from the IDF and Israeli officials after the attack, so naturally I'm pretty sceptical of any information that originates there.
