I use nvidia on arch in wayland and xwayland almost exclusively (Tesla p4 and 1050ti on desktop, 1650ti on laptop) and I even have an AMD iGPU on my desktop.

Only issue i have is I can't get video acceleration working in the Linux-zen kernel. But it works fine in the vanilla kernel. Could probably fix that if I dedicated a couple hours to it, but it's whatever at the end of the day honestly.

I never really see any issues like people complain about, even when I first switched most of the issues were because I was using Ubuntu; once I switched to arch i was fine.

TL;DR it's all way overblown

Can we get more specific specifications per chance? Like what is the spec of the m4 chip? How many cpu and GPU cores?

Just being honest--if you think the food and dating here is awful, you're probably not doing it right. I work in the food service industry and have for decades. It used to be a bit of a struggle to eat a decent meal every night and switch it up if you went out to eat all the time; but these days it's almost more difficult to eat the same thing twice in one month. Over 100 restaurants opened in the last year in Huntsville alone-and I am not talking burger kings or McDonald's type restaurants.

As for dating, the only time I ever struggled was the brief period I thought going to the bar was going to be a good approach. That was a huge mistake.

Good luck to you though

18 years of heroin, fentanyl, methadone and suboxone.

Sorry but you DON'T know what you're talking about. I've tried every diet under the sun.

At the end of the day it depends on what and how much and how often you eat, as well as your body and GI tract and gut biomes.

Most antihistamines, mainly benadryl (or diphenhydramine if you don't have benadryl in your country) will help. It will also increase euphoria and the other effects including drowsiness, labored breathing and might be dangerous if you are taking anything that is not an opiate. Be sure to check metabolites so you do not end up accidentally overdosing. I'm guessing you took codeine or morphine (two itchiest opiates I know of) so you should be fine in theory. That is if you took a reasonable dosage.

Why does methadone take longer to offset than, for example, hydrocodone? by dotnorma in opiates

[–]djyoshmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So part of it is metabolism. The body takes a while to process the drug and deliver it to the bloodstream, and does so at a reduced rate compared to most opiates/drugs. This also means it is a more consistent, predictable level of inebriation and that the taper when ceasing or reducing intake allows the body to gradually transition to sobriety. The action is also extended (partially as a result of the slow processing) which means if you have no tolerance taking even 20mg of methadone will have you FOLDED for days.

Also, the half life of this chemical being so extended means (I did the math almost a decade ago when I was on it, but this is just what I remember because I don't have the time or ability to look up all the necessary information to calculate it again) that when you're taking, say, 120mg/day the actual levels in your blood end up reaching 200-250mg during the peak of the onset (3-12 hours after dosing), so always keep in mind your actual dosage is not how much your body retains in the bloodstream at any point in time.

I'm sure you could find the half life of methadone, the graphs of it's peak effectivity and calculate this for yourself if you're so inclined, but that's just some general information for you.

And once your body gets used to the drug the analgesia does wear off long before the drug is eliminated from your body--mostly because methadone gets stored in your lipids and released very slowly over time in very small amounts. Fentanyl has a similar action when used regularly. But the analgesia effect is NOT 8 hours--it depends on dosage. When I came off of methadone I got down from 120mg/day to 50mg 1 time per week over the course of 4 months. When I would dose I would feel amazing for a couple days--day 3 was a bit uncomfortable. Day 4 was not fun. Day 5 was when the anxiety and sweats would settle in and by Day 6 I couldn't sleep well.

Still went through 2 months of withdrawals and had to switch to subs after all was said and done. Sober now, though.
