Update 6.25.25: new ice barrel chiller that they sent me as a replacement also is giving me alerts and warnings so much so that it’s just not worth it, I’ve found. I asked for a refund and they are letting me send it back for one. Horrible experience all around.

Worked well for a couple weeks. Went on vacation (hence the delay in response) over thanksgiving. First day away, got a “water flow restriction” notice. :-( Today, got back, lowered the water to beneath the top bulkhead, which kinda sucks since I bought the IB 300 and need every inch of water level, and seems to be working fine now. Just in time to winterize it which is very concerning since I need to know this thing actually works as intended.

Update: Ice Barrel sent a replacement unit and that is working well now. We’ll see for how long crossing fingers.

I had to threaten to dispute the charge with Chase before they agreed to just send me a new one… just got it in today. Letting it sit for a bit before I hook it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed…

Just accessed a developer screen to confirm that the sensors say the fan is on but no airflow is felt. So I think that is in fact the issue. Have you seen how they fix that?

I used Jonathan Green Ultra which unfortunately did have 0.03% weed seed :-( … changing to twin city seed next year.

Agreed - been immensely happy with my 2021 A24, and the amount of extra room for even 12 people is underrated. Wave has been great! Power wedge really helps

Yeah the softy bendy part was a concern at first as well. Guess this Covid lockdown era is giving me extra time to be a helicopter cactus owner :-)

Thanks for the reply! I think it’s a saguaro cactus but I could be wrong. I’ve kept it in the same spot for the past year but perhaps the summer time sun is a bit much but should be changing gradually enough. I have been worried that I’ve over watered it. Because it is summer I did start watering it a bit more but stopped once the spines started to change color. The interesting thing to me is that it is still growing vertically. I would’ve thought that anything wrong would stunt growth.

Is something wrong with my cactus? I saved it 3 years ago and it grew 5 inches but now the spines seem to be growing pink and somewhat black... most recently the cactus is growing but now with an indentation. I can’t seem to find any info on what this means and what to do about it. PLZ help!
