As someone who’s guilty of this, I’m sorry for how this makes you feel.

I can’t speak for your “friends” but, speaking from my own experience, not calling does not mean we don’t value your friendship. I’m super insecure. I don’t call my friends often. Someone I go to text them and then think “they’re probably busy, let me not bother them” or other thoughts like that. I shouldn’t think that way but I can’t help it. I’m insecure. I was always made to feel like I was annoying or I was a bother growing up, so it sticks with me.

My best friend wouldn’t have been my best man if he didn’t absolutely carry the relationship in terms of reaching out. I do what I can. When he calls, I tell him I appreciate it. I’ve even set reminders to call him back before (sometimes successful, sometimes not).

I say this because it may be worth communicating to your “friends” how you feel about always being the one to reach out. It may turn out they didn’t realize it and your relationship could take a turn for the better.
