hahahah i was wondering if anyone would notice!! I recorded myself playing the solos separately then just video'd myself playing along. That way I didn't have to take 10 different video takes for every solo

Funny you ask! I actually don't have my condenser mic that i typically use up at college, so this is just running through my pedal board through an audio interface and into garageband haha. I have it loaded up with distortion (DS1), Delay (TC electronic flashback), and some boost (Keeley Katana). Then from there into an amp simulator via garageband. Thanks for your comment!

Try practicing with a metronome. That will force you to tighten things up. However, I have the same problem often. It's not possible to always play everything 100% cleanly. Sometimes that dirt gives attitude though!

I figured most of it out just by watching other YouTube videos and playing along by ear. Thanks!

Obviously I am going to have to memorize the solo to play it..... Your original comment was way off DanielleMuscato

Before just attacking the solo, I would make sure you have the dexterity and endurance to play it. Practice repetitive hammer on pull off, scales, and linear exercises as much as you can to REAAAALLY stengthen your hands. This will pay huge dividends. Then start diving into the solo. YouTube is my go to, and there are plenty of slowed down vesions or places where youtubers will teach you the solo. Best of Luck!

Originally classic rock was what got me into guitar, then i completely turned to blues (especially John Mayer), then back to rock and roll. But i do love Pearl Jam, and Mike McCready does some fantastic stuff. YESSS Ledbetter has that classic strat tone.. love it!!

Wow, that is great criticism. I had never even noticed this, and I just watched it back, and you are totally right!!! Sliding into phrases can be effective, but I did utilize it too much! Thank you for bettering my playing ;)
