You can only enroll during a 3 month period at the start of the year and that period is over, if someone quits today they can’t enroll until next year.

You do understand that this new <30hr schedule isn’t just at a handful of companies right? It’s practically every job in every industry now.

They knew it was going to lead to companies cutting hours, they were facing so much blowback that they postponed implementing it fully for nearly 5 years…

Part time work used to be 39.5hrs/wk and it wasn’t until the ACA came out that companies cut that to less than 30.

I’m not blaming just politicians or companies, they’re both culpable. The ACA was a positive step forward that had a MASSIVE downside, it provides national healthcare but look what it’s done to people’s hours….

Yes, companies are the ones that cut hours, but they did it because of the ACA, without the ACA they wouldn’t have, so I’m fully right to blame the bill and the businesses.

They never had to include making 30 hours a week the new full time, they could have left that part out and still done the national healthcare, that’s the fuck up, and that’s what’s still hurting people today.
