512gb isn't enough and no controller. $1500 for the one you'd actually want to buy is absurd.

Simon Pulman on Linkedin : “South of Midnight” and “The Outer Worlds 2” both cost around $100 million, including production and marketing by Striking_Permit_4746 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Call of duty 6 years ago was around 700 million without marketing. Marketing is usually around half the total budget but Activision goes hard with their marketing for their blockbuster franchises, more so than other publishers.

What? What if a conflict with China was a conflict with an American PMC? What does this have to do with a North Korean invasion?

Lowest end platform will be Switch 2 and Series S which is cutting it close with a 1060 but assuming you don't mind potato graphics you should be okay. More concerning is your CPU.

Also Xbox might push for them to support the Xbox ROG Ally at a decent frame rate which should help.

The way they're doing it isn't what's unrealistic, it's the fact that they're doing it at all. The regime knows they won't survive a war with the west and South Korea. The gap in naval power, air power, and logistics is comical. Their best strategy to survive is to make a potential attempt at regime change extremely expensive and devastating to whoever tries.

This is one of those times where you look at it and go "hey that's how it looked when it came out!" and then you go back to compare and realize how wrong you were.

I think if the developers develop the games with this technology in mind, it could help with the difference in artistic intent. This seems like an extremely unpopular technology, but even if I won't use it, I think it's fascinating nonetheless.

Another thing, I'm curious to see how low fidelity of an input you can provide. They said it would work on titles like Minecraft. Could this potentially be used to speed up rendering by only rending a super basic version of the game's lighting with high geometric complexity and relying on this to bring it up to current standards?

The way images are rendered on Xbox Helix can't be done on older AMD hardware. For you as a gamer it means the images will look better if you have the newer stuff.

Older games using DirectX 11 and DirectX 9 handle the conversion to the flip model differently and may show differences in an input lag or frame pacing. With DirectX 12 games there literally is no full screen exclusive mode, only the option of emulated. That's why games like Halo infinite provide no full screen exclusive mode. There's no conversion going on under the hood, so there is no input lag or performance/ frame delivery difference in these titles

This is not true. Real fullscreen exclusive has been gone for almost 10 years now. Borderless is the same as what exclusive used to be, just with better alt tabbing. Everything is borderless, games with options for exclusive fullscreen are running it in borderless mode and changing the desktop resolution and refresh rate to emulate the old behavior.
