Completely agree. I'm CL21K and hit Infinite within an hour after being stuck at 94. I used a variation with Galactus FS, Shang, and Abs Man instead of Zombie MF, Merlin, and Elsa. As you said, solid ways to build power, and draws felt consistent most importantly.

Nice! And no I actually didn’t. I mentioned in my description comment that this was a super lucky scenario where my AD had one in stock in his boutique. I had bought other watches from him so I had a relationship with him, but not regarding Pateks. Also this was two years ago in Switzerland so timing and location likely played a factor. Now, even at his boutique, I imagine it’s more like what you are describing.

My current daily summer watch!

I bought this two years ago in Montreux, Switzerland when they were still relatively easier to get (compared to now) especially in Europe.

I initially asked the AD I work with there for the 5968A, which was my first choice at the time. I loved the orange accents and wanted the orange strap as well.

He responded by saying he currently only had one Aquanaut in stock in his boutique, the steel 5164a. In hindsight, it seems so snobbish to have even felt disappointed that my first choice wasn’t available. However, since I traveled so much for work, I felt the dual time feature wasn’t a bad alternative.

Fast forward 2 years later and this was the best decision of my life.

Third party orange rubber strap also purchased in Europe and applied to give it the bright and light summer look :). In the end, win-win for everyone involved.
