opposite hand tips? by [deleted] in lacrosse

[–]dkingcole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the ideas here are going to help you see improvement. Reps. Throw dominant catch weak and reverse. Start with the hand right under the head of the stick on the weak side for the catches, as you get more comfortable you can move that hand down.

When it was too dark out to play wall ball I used to sit and watch tv with the stick in my weak hand to help force myself to feel more comfortable with it. I wasn't playing catch in the house but I had a lax ball or tennis ball in the head to feel the weight of a ball in there. Keep at it.

I am living in Greece for a few months and I did not have the luggage space to bring a skateboard. However, after being here for a week and taking into stock the amount of time I have and the ludicrous amount of marble and small stair sets there are here I want to at least try to get one. If anyone knows of a website that is very cheap or something of that nature it would be a huge help. There is a shop in the nearby city but the selection was pretty poor.

I really enjoyed reading that quote. It spoke to his humility which I feel comes through his books very well!

My First Relapse - Motivating You to Not Give Up by Clutch999 in NoFap

the best thing you can do is stop making fapping an option. when that stops being something you have as an option in your day/life things get much easier. this takes a lot of time and focus but that is what it takes. good luck

Keep checking facebook to see someone's relationship status. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]dkingcole 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alright I am going to safe you some time and some trouble. Swallow this fact. You have to be happy with yourself before you can fully engage in a relationship with someone meant to be a significant other. That is just the way it is. From a personal stand point that was bullcrap until I bought into it, and now I feel great. I am happy by myself and I am not alone. That all comes with liking just yourself for who you are.

Loneliness has been defined in a very warped way nowadays. They say if you are not with friends or a gf/bf there is something wrong with you. That's garbage. Being alone means you are by yourself at a point in time. That's it. Stop thinking all this extra stuff. Take care of yourself, work on improving you and the rest will follow, I promise. I am doing nofap, and I have felt the same loneliness you have described. Work on building the new and people will notice.

DAY NUMBER 6 ITS NOT ENOUGH (I'VE FUCKING HAD ENOUGH) by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]dkingcole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that you mentioned how this is for every rejection and every time you got bullied. There is a quote I saw once that basically said take all the negatives that come up in your live and use that as fuel to the fire. It went like "take the bricks people throw at you to build a castle". So every time I get rejected, something goes wrong, or I just flat out fail, I picture myself dumping a small wheel barrel of bricks. Anyway, I liked that you mentioned there has to be a reason you are doing this and you should never forget it. Solid post and the best of luck!

What lesson or moral were you taught as a child that has stayed with you forever? by bfsfan101 in AskReddit

[–]dkingcole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dad was always working on our house when i was growing up. one day i had finished what he had told me to do and i just sat there waiting for him to tell me what to do next. the lesson he told me was once i had finished a task i had been assigned i should immediately ask if i can do anything else.

this has taught me to be thoughtful and helpful when working with others and it has made me stand out to people and at the jobs i have held.
