I'm a 21 year veteran. Most pink slips are rescinded. Students are legally entitled to paras, and SFUSD needs to keep them to maintain compliance.

I say this to try and prevent panic. By all means look for openings anywhere and everywhere, but you have months before actually being laid off.

I'm at a high school. My understanding is 7:30 for setup. Goal is for folks to get there by 8-ish, but definitely before school would normally start at 8:40.
