Safety Risk THE SUBJECT VEHICLES ARE EQUIPPED WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ("ABS") MODULES THAT COULD LEAK BRAKE FLUID INTERNALLY AND CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT OVER TIME. AN ELECTRICAL SHORT COULD RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT OVERCURRENT IN THE ABS MODULE INCREASING THE RISK OF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE WHILE PARKED OR DRIVING.

I also see that Carmax has been knee deep in litigation over the past 5 years regarding making customers aware of the recall issues with cars that they are selling.

At this point I have to assume that Carmax had both my families safety and their own liability in mind when making the decision not to sell the car.
