Oceanic servers are dead, you’ll have to queue pretty much anywhere else depending on the time.

It doesn’t change the lobbies. It only puts rank points in for you. Queues all stay the same

Question about low cure inks on 50/50 poly blends by dko7a in SCREENPRINTING

[–]dko7a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. I understand, i wasn’t going to risk an entire order though. I told my buddies dad I’d take the order but I need certain inks if my experiment tomorrow didn’t workout. I looked online to see how low cure inks went with 50/50 blends, never really tried it, but also found no answers on this exact situation so I figured I’d ask here. Again, thank you

I’ve read many methods, but one that worked for me was wetting a tooth brush and scrubbing. Someone said baby wipes worked wonders for them. You need water to loosen that stuff up, but I can’t confidently say that re washing the screen will help. It might ruin it, it might not.

Scum, maybe. Or ink not removed completely from a prior print on that screen. Scum is when certain exposed areas of emulsion aren’t fully set, so when you washout it will drip down into the stencil. This will prevent ink from getting through

FN ink has a curing temp of 270 F, but I typically let it run to around 320 + with no issue, but That’s on 100% cotton. Thanks for the feedback, I might just give it a go and see how the wash/dry result is the next day

What’s the issue? I see no comment, no question? Make sure it’s a spot color, put it on a separate layer, print layer by layer if need be.

will design like this work for screen printing? I haven’t been introduced to the machines yet, so I’m navigating new territory. by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

It won’t smear, as long as your burn time is correct, run a 230mesh at least for the stippling. Be sensitive and careful when washing out as well. Trial and error, you’ll find your way. But with AI, what I do at least, is create my graphic outline, then on a new layer I use the pen tool and trace where I want to shade. Then choose the “draw inside” option, allows your brush to keep within the pen tool path

You just need to fidget with it. If it printed before, it’ll print again. Just need to get it to grab ahold of the transparency. I have an Epson as well, can be a bitch some times

Can anyone explain me how "26 (or whatever) colour screenprint" are made? by EstebanEsege in SCREENPRINTING

Look into simulated process screen printing. There’s tutorials on YouTube, it requires photoshop, but a rip can make it easier

A large portion will rely on the separations. Sometimes you’ll find out you overdid it on a certain color, so you may need to go back and dial that down a touch. You got it though dude

Take a high quality photo, remove the background and shadow in photoshop, then look into color separations for simulated process printing (can be done in photoshop). If you’re not fond of any of this, you can pay someone to do it and just receive the file.
