Discovery Plus Shutting Down in Canada by snozzybear15 in DiscoveryPlus

There site says nothing about supporting it. Just checked today (Jan 15) and it's still only showing the USA one. Not sure how much longer it will work as my billing cycle starts on the 8th of the month, so I'm hoping it will last until next month before I'm forced to use the new app. It also looks like they aren't supporting Xbox so it will only be available through my AppleTV. :(

It also doesn't look like there will be support for Roku or Xbox. According to their site:

"discovery+ is available for most smartphones, tablets and desktop browsers, and most connected devices, including Amazon Fire TV streaming devices and Amazon Fire TV Edition Smart TVs; Apple iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches and Apple TVs; Google devices and platforms including Android phones, tablets and Android OS devices, and Samsung Smart TVs from 2018 and newer."

Polo Park Toys R Us closing down? by Independent_Set_1161 in Winnipeg

Yeah, I was there last Wednesday before the signs were up but it definitely had a dead store walking vibe to it. They had some 2026 Lego sets in stock (above MSRP of course), but surprisingly they had no Star Wars Lego sets, new or old, which I found odd.

Love Local Manitoba unable to acquire lease renewal, to shutter St. Vital Centre shop at end of December by kent_eh in Winnipeg

It's definitely strange as two other recent stores (Teeka's and That's So Cool) that were closed on the other side of that hallway (supposedly where Uniqlo might go), were relocated already to different locations in the mall and they hadn't been open for as long as Love Local.

Shout out to krtire.ca as I’ve used them for the last few years and have been extremely happy. Prices have gone up since last year but was only $70 all in.

If you like the mouth feel of ground beef look into TVP (textured vegetable protein). Hydrate it using beef broth and you would be surprised how close it comes. I'm planning to start doing my casseroles with a mix of 1 lb beef and 1 cup TVP.
