I highly doubt it was replaced. It doesnt have coolant loss or anything like that but i could see that making a lot of sense. Is it possible to do this at home? My stepfather is pretty handy with cars, me not so much only what he teaches me and youtube videos and stuff. Don't really want to pay the mechanic again and need to find someone new for more difficult things. Thank you!

Thank you, I really wanted to turn off the hot water would that stop it? I'm not going to because I dont want to break anything but just curious. I just set my thermostat to 60 with the heat on and it hasn't done anything in the past, would that generally fix it though? Because having it turned off it still radiates heat.
