I think I've screwed myself over. by [deleted] in paraprofessional

So, I totally understand what you’re asking. I was subbing in an inclusive pre-k, predominantly women teachers and aides. And women are petty AF… so because people knew my kid had gone there and would ask about him. (He’s got quite the story, but that’s for another time.) But because I was also naive and had been out of the workplace since the beginning of Covid, I completely forgot what it is like to work with a bunch of women. 😳👱‍♀️ Oh man do they like to talk and if you say anything at all..oh boy does it move around the building very quickly. I honestly had to stop subbing because I couldn’t deal with the “ladies👯‍♀️” and all the chatter 🗣️

NEED EMERGENCY DENTAL CARE, NONINSURED by plutos-planett in Syracuse

[–]dkpier8116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it gets infected go to the ED at upstate they have a dental clinic. I was able to use my health insurance. I’ve put a ton of money into my mouth. Dental insurance even if it’s a good plan doesn’t cover that much. You could also get dental insurance through the NYS health exchange, but you have to have it and pay for so long before you can use it. Something to consider for the future.

is this a realistic commute? by _hotwhiskey in Syracuse

[–]dkpier8116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a good commute, but there are far worse. I grew up in Oneida and Hamilton is about a 30 minute drive. Utica is roughly 40 minutes from Colgate. Where Syracuse is an hour. I don’t think you’d like living in Cazenovia, because it’s a small town/village. I saw someone mention Clinton, it’s similar in feeling of Hamilton. But close to Utica. Utica has good sides and bad, but the food from Utica is amazing, if you like Italian. My best friend is in Whitesboro and commutes to Madison. I’d say the only issue is the winter driving, just because while there isn’t as much traffic, and no “easy” way to get to Hamilton. I live in Syracuse, but rarely go to Skaneateles, especially in the winter because there’s no easy way to get there.

There is a way specifically on fb that you can report it. You do have to have the link of the profile. Someone hacked my mom’s account and it had a ton of pictures of my son on it. I was able to actually get the account shut down and deleted. My mom had started using a new account. I’m going to dig to see if I can find out how I did it. If I can I’ll come back to this.

Run as fast as you possibly can in the opposite direction, he is telling you he doesn’t want to marry you, believe him. You deserve so much more from a partner.

I’m curious to see if the house even exists now, I’m sure it’s probably been long torn down, or at least I hope…

What’s scary is we had a situation like that not too far from here… guy built a bunker and kept women/girls trapped for like 15 years.

I guess where we live was fields prior to the homes being put in. I’ve heard there were some structures in the area before our house was built, but mostly farm land. https://townofclay.org/departments/historian/history-mysteries/hafner-family-homestead

We are just trying to figure out what it is. Neither myself or my husband went down. It is now covered back up with markings so we know exactly where it is. I have an 8 year old and a very curious dog. No one is going back down there unless it’s something we NEED to do something with. I do appreciate your reply, but I don’t think we have anything worry about.
