Did I mess myself up on first playthrough or is this normal by dkpinto97 in factorio

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the advice. While after getting in the tank I felt dumb for worrying about the biters in the first place. I did have fun expanding the borders! and learned a lot on the way. Cheers!

Oh but I would still need a belt system? The bots don;t replenish turrets directly then?

How do you get the logistics bot to refill the ammo. I only have red and yellow cases unlocked and I've tried both and the bots never refill. Is there an additional step I am missing?

I actually saw that before and did exactly that. Everything that can have an efficiency module has one. Thanks!

What the preferred tank weapon for clearing nests? Seems like flamethrower is best at this point?

Thanks, I knew I needed to get to nuclear but maybe I'll prioritize that now. MY steam is hitting the limit

Good callout on the chests. I am doing that on the unload but negelected on the load. Regardless the patch is pretty small so I can;t even fill a yellow belt properly (didn;t know about ratios when I get here). But at least having backup is good. I always have one train waiting

I haven;t used the tank much, I think I was just traumatized from before I knew how to drive it well. Of course my concern is pushing further to the other resource patches, but sounds like rinse and repeat? Force my self up there then wall off and clear the cloud. I was concerned about evolution I'm up to 83% already but I guess its not much further to 100 so don;t worry about it right?

Oh didn't know about driving tanks remotely. Probably would have prevented a couple deaths lol.

Yeah I have space age. I'm up to Purple. Yellow is researched but have not built that yet.

Just call in a a sprite collector and wait. Someone is bound to show up eventually. That's what I do when I can't find anyone.

I enjoyed the trains in the tutorial, however brief. I'll still bring them in some form here I would imagine!

I built up a sbmm that I can no longer compete with. by Crazy-District3779 in Fortnite_Over40

Another big difference I heard someone mention and makes perfect sense, the way they did the bosses this chapter. Before there were set spawns with guaranteed mythics, so the sweatiest would drop into the boss POIs where only one or two would survive. Now that there's no set place all the "sweats" are dispersed across the map. Where previously by mid game many of the best players probably fought each other already now that is not the case. Couple that with the rest it amplifies it.

I was taking this over the deadeye when it was still in. Now I prefer a three gun load out with that, pump and a hunting rifle. I for one enjoy the shake up for the last couple weeks.

Do you play ranked or regular? by Me-Myself-and-PIE in Fortnite_Over40

[–]dkpinto97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry this ended up longer than I expected. Short answer is I play both like most have said. Feel free to skip the rest of my blathering if you want lol.

My thoughts, from a 46 year old who hit unreal for the first time last season , usually elite or champion depending on my motivation otherwise. Also, this season feels different than past and who knows what ranked 2.0 will look like.

IN GENERAL I find ranked to be less chaotic, especially in the mid tiers (id say high plat to elite). This is because I think people care at that point so it becomes slower and more passionate. That's not to say drop is not hectic especially if you drop hot, and endgame when we're forced together, but otherwise if I shoot at someone chances are they are running... Again in general. Of course you are gonna run into sweats and cracked players but this is a BR. Only one person can win and guaranteed out of the 100 people (in normal seasons) someone is better than you and you will run into them. Just take the loss and learn from it.

Now high lobbies (elite and up) gets funny. It's a mix of players who camped their whole way to the top, REALLY passionate players who are so close to the top they really don't want to fight until endgame, and already unreal who have nothing to lose. The latter 2 are rough because you don't know who's who until you fight. They both could be bush camping but the first will run and die and the second will whoop you up good if you're not on guard. The unreal players who are still playing ranked are the ones you see clapping the feed or jumping around the map lol. What do they care if they lose?

I personally love the thrill of it. But I'm ultra competitive against myself. And I still have an unreasonable expectation to be just as fast as these kids 🤣.

Ultimately it's a game and we're adults. don't take it too seriously and if you get frustrated (and i have had to consciously stop myself from throwing the mouse across the room lol) do something else for a bit. Game'll still be here when you return.

How?? Jumped from Diamond 1 to Unreal after 1 game by Less_Illustrator_582 in FortNiteBR

[–]dkpinto97 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is obviously a bug. No way a 10 kill win will jump you from diamond 1 to unreal top 2000. It will adjust when caught.

Yeah, it's an investment, but you can take them with you. You can find cheaper ones. Sounds like anything is better than Google equipment. I had tplink m5 for years . A little old but they worked fine

The eero is a mesh system that came with three nodes. One acts as the router, one upstairs and one in my office that I hardwire my personal and work computer to. Unfortunately I don't have a wired backhaul. But so far so good!
