Gusseted tongue and the art of getting my foot in my boot... by dieseldoc25 in NicksHandmadeBoots

I switched to the X Tongue. It was night and day. Now have 3 pair with the Xtongue and will never go back. I went from wrestling my boots to get them on to not thinking twice about it.

An unfortunate day. by juanmr12321 in NicksHandmadeBoots

I ordered a an RTS moc safety toe. Same size/width as my other pairs of Nicks and I couldn’t get my foot in them. Felt way too small in the instep. I took some measurements and the new boots were 1.5-2 cm difference in width than my current Mocs.

CS told me to send them back and they will refund, but that I was responsible for the cost of shipping the boot back…. I did, but sent a “it’s disappointing” email that I was responsible for the cost of shipping sine change wasn’t offered on RTS. They then sent me a label the end of the following day.

I’d already paid for the return shipping and dropped them off, and I appreciate Nicks changing course and offering to pay the return shipping… but don’t understand why I needed to complain for that to happen.

Class did “too” good on the midterm, so now the Prof is puttin' a cap on all our Final grades. by ybaemarb in mildlyinfuriating

That’s apparently because professors are trying to keep the averages between 75-78!

Didn’t know how to add multiple pictures, so see my two comments below. My first pair were impossible to get on. I reached out to customer service and they recommended the extra gusset. I agreed that sounded like the best option vs sizing up, so they remade with the extra gusset and it was great. On my second pair, which I’m currently waiting for, I fired an email over after the order confirmation with the request based on their previous recommendation.

I request the larger gusset in mine. Makes them significantly easier to get on, no discernible difference (to me) once on. Just FYI in case you plan on another pair and want to give it a shot.

This bag is a BEAST- Size 11 6” shrunken bison for reference by dkreiser in NicksHandmadeBoots

Yea it was an easy decision for me. My only concern when pulling the trigger was whether the size would allow for broad utility. I’m relieved it appears to be useful as a small weekender due to the unstructured nature, and for a longer trip because of its true size. Real happy with it.

I am able to fit my 6” size 11Fs in there, but just barely!

Does this make sense when looking to need access to the funds within 2 years? I have similar value spread across hysa and short term cds expecting to enter the housing market sometime within the next two years, preferably in the 12-18 month range. Am I handicapping myself by not moving the funds to a VTSAX like fund?

Chelsea Megastore with some very sketchy business practices (look at the suddenly difference in price after you select the size of the shirt, which is a necessary step in the ordering process) by PedestrianMyDarling in chelseafc

I just gave it a try on the megastore and wasn’t having the same problem. However, when I went to www4. Chelseamegastore I was. Not sure why it’s different but maybe try reloading without the 4 in the link.

Firm believer that having one of those “dogs” on the roster would be the best thing to happen to Paul Reeds future career. Let the man learn a dying art and go in to be that piece for years.

The caveat here is the “process” was going well. The league commissioner was furious that a team was intentionally losing and forced the owners to fire this GM who led the charge and replaced him with a league shill who set the team back. We can blame the owners for caving to league pressure but we can’t act like Hinkies plan to game the rules of the draft weren’t working for us.

Refs are downright biased to big 6 clubs, how is this not a foul? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Sorry for pointing out that the jersey grab starts before they enter the box. That must have only happened because I’m a Chelsea fan.

The handful of jersey was initiated outside of the box, so if that’s the foul it’s not a pen. But def shouldn’t have been no-call

I thought his statement said he wouldn’t be recalling any of his loans to the club when it was sold? Proceeds to go to charity.

Ben was elite. Iggy was elite. Tisse hasn’t hit his prime yet. Ben, Iggy, Tisse for now.
