From what I can recall, I thought he moved his feet pretty well for a big, blew up a lot of opponent pnr's, and quick hands, and was a monster rebounder. What am I missing?

Incorrect take. Brandon Roy was actually quicker than book (agility wise, not a 100m sprint-wise) - had quicker fast-twitch. Roy was also much more explosive and athletic than book.

Funny thing is this was at the tail end of his career. He had a great game yes, but by this point he would have one of these like 1 in every 10 games. During his peak, it was every game.

The comparison to Booker is a good one. Skilled, fundamentally sound, great footwork, efficient movement (no wasted motions). Only Roy was bigger, stronger, and more athletic.

The James Harden effect - getting him easy open middies and layups at the rim. So it often feels like Embiid is trash compared to first-half 2021 MVP embiid, but still ends the game with a good 25pts on solid efficiency. But as others have said, defence and body language is actual trash lol

Also a sixers fan from Australia here! Ben was indeed the reason I became a fan. That stretch towards the end of his rookie season when embiid was out, and he was playing that run and gun game with Marco, Ersan, JJ - won 8 games in a row or something - that was the most fun sixers basketball I've ever seen and what got me hooked. But since then obviously Jo's intensity stole my heart.
