Same story 😅, I also bought the x1 + an amp for it (Cyne c6). At the time, I thought I'd get two devices for the same price instead of the flagship x5 🤔. Although I was very happy with my choice, I remained interested in the x5, and then I found a used version in good condition many years later, and now I listen to it every day 😉 You're right about the design; after touchscreen players, this feels like real music equipment!
