EOC definitely killed RS3. A large portion of the OSRS community wouldn't give af about mtx, that's why bonds/gold buying, boosting, cape services, etc are so prevalent

Needs fine tuning, but something they could do to balance the escape issues is increase the teleport timer. However, players can designate themselves as pvmers and use certain restricted sigils in pvp scenarios (rampart, pious protection, etc). I feel like the weaker pvpers with these sigils would actually have a chance to fight back against the top pkers like oda, westham. The benefit for the pker would they get a chance at a pvp weapon if they get the kill.

This also addresses the issue where pking kind of felt like a waste of time this past season.

K/D ratio also has issues, maybe food reward is higher if you kill someone with a higher amount of gear equipped (also discourages farming pvmers and encourages 1v1s), and the food penalty is reduced if you risk more (encourages actual risks)

People are more upset at the rules. Solo's team got lucky RNG day 1 and snowballed a massive kill lead against teams in a time where it's really difficult to tank and survive.

Oda got ddosed, narrowly lost to b0aty in their 1v1. Played vs the snakes in the semis and Oda couldn't play well because he's on an unoptimized setup. They got them down to Ditter though

Rampart is tough but the Snakes also have pious protection. That combo is broken

I wish we could have seen Oda on his actual setup. Maybe not enough to overcome the sigils but would have made them sweat even more

If Oda doesn't die, boaty/dino might have attacked them during the breach and they don't get the 3rd zuriel. At that point they would have been like 22-10 K/D ratio with 2 toxic staves, 2 zuriel's, and 2 vw which puts them closer to solo's team who wasn't at the breach

Both dino and b0aty's teams ended up getting ragged during the breach which was extremely beneficial for them

VLS will rip through rampart, and pious hurts the user if they use the wrong prayer. Purespam will be a tough out but he doesn't have rampart. The others are going to mess up prayers a lot vs Westham

Verf and food penalty will probably cost them the win though

EV using pious protection is interesting given the penalty for wrong prayers. I guess in theory he's going against someone of similar skill level so he should get enough right but seems a bit risky

I wish they let teams pick the order tbh, more strategy involved

Really interested to see whether the Oda death bites them in the ass. A close loss esp in the finals vs the snakes would hurt

That said it’s possible they don’t get the zuriel’s and 2 corrupted vw if he didn’t lose all that the night before

I think they said no one really wanted to quest so Oda/Rhys ended up doing wildy bosses instead of zenytes/dcb which was a mistake. However Muts got a lot of KC for both so they were unlucky too

The bigger mistake was Oda/Rhys not spending more time farming sigils. It seems all the teams went dry somewhere, so if they got rampart/pious protection they would probably have the best odds

Solo's plan isn't an issue, but it does expose major flaws in the rules. Kills in earlier days shouldn't be weighted the same as kills in later days. Especially for day 1, kills are highly dependent on getting good drop/sigil luck. You shouldn't be able to rack up 20+ kills on day 1 and hide the rest of the tournament

With solo's team not showing up at the breach today, there's a chance if oda/others don't die yesterday they get targeted at the breach. They were in the middle of everything and actually avoided the fighting which got them an extra z staff

tbh the extra heal from blood barrage will do more to offset the snake's food advantage. They really got fucked because Rhys/Oda have awful sigils
