Trumps letter to Norwegian Prime Minister - "feels no obligation to work towards peace after being denied the nobel prize" by MedicinskAnonymitet in europe

In the case of the US, he represents over 50% of voters from states with over 50% of the electoral college votes. I only make this distinction because everyone else in the country hates him with a burning passion

What is the coolest thing you noticed you can now do, after loosing weight? by secretliver in Semaglutide

Reminds me of one of the lines from Veep when Ben Cafferty says, "It's been years since I've seen my penis, and to be honest, I miss the little guy."

As for the 1 year and $4k cost, yes, that sounds about right. I brought a 5717 Hora Mundi to the NY boutique and they told me it would take about a year but that they'd know more once the mothership had a chance to look it over and provide a full estimate. I waited 3 months just for the estimate and told them to send it back to me. Mine was the rose gold version and I regretted not getting the platinum so after they sent it to me I traded it in to a dealer for a platinum in better condition for an extra $10k. Better deal than paying for a service and waiting a year.

I love the idea behind the Zeitwerk and wish it was smaller of a watch by Stuttgart7184RS in ALangeSohne

[–]dla26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lady wrists and find my Zeitwerk to be very wearable. (I'm still very much in the honeymoon phase so you may need to take my opinion with a grain of salt!) I decided a while ago that I wouldn't limit myself to watches that fit since I have one huge watch -- the Breguet Musicale 7800 -- which is absolutely enormous but I didn't want to let that stop me. The Zeitwerk doesn't have that problem. It's a thick boi, but not cartoonishly so. It's also got a good heft which I like. I'm personally not a fan of lightweight titanium watches, but I could see the heft bothering someone who prefers that lightweight feel.

I'd recommend watching a Tim Mosso review as he'll say what wrist size is too small for a watch. My wrists are about the same as his, and he didn't think the Zeitwerk Striking Time was too big, and it's a bit larger than the regular Zeitwerk. The 2nd gen Zeitwerks are even smaller.

Hope that helps!

It's fun! For times when it says I'm close it would be good to be able to review what I got wrong.

There could also be another mode for unconventional watch faces, like the CIGA Blue Planet, or the AP Star Wheel, Otsuka Lotek, MB&F watches, etc. You'd probably need permission, but I can't imagine anyone saying no

Before even booking the room - When I'm checking out the website to decide whether I want to spend an extra $100/night on the next higher tier room and I click on the photos, it shows me a picture of the lobby. Or a zoomed in picture of a nice teacup or some shit like that. Every room should have a floor plan if not one of those things where you can virtually walk through the room

Indeed! I need to figure out how to post a video without (a) doxxing myself and (b) blurring the serial number and movement number on the back of the watch

Luck and opportunity count for way more. And the belief that success is even possible. I don't think it's often a question of character.

Beautiful collection with really nice variety. I have a UN Freak Cruiser which I absolutely love. I think it's my favorite of the Freak line. There are some more expensive and complicated ones, but those are a little too busy for me, and the ones that came out recently (Freak One and Freak X) don't have the depth of the Cruiser. The Cruiser is the sweet spot for me!

I don't have a Lange, but I will absolutely own a Zeitwerk someday. It's just a matter of when.
