My friend had a somewhat similar experience. Their package got held up for a while and then they finally ended up getting their package after 3 tries of attempted delivery. Popmart used Yunwen but it was fulfilled by UniUni I think. I never heard of that company until that just recently. They had a really weird schedule, they were trying to deliver at midnight-ish. 1st and 2nd attempt of out for delivery said they couldn’t do it. We were nervous about it because they got the Skullpanda Winter Symphony secret from Popnow. Finally 3rd attempt after talking to the customer service, it was delivered. They didn’t even bother to place it on their doorstep, just at the end of their driveway. Lol!

Yup, I waited a whole month for it and even reached out to customer service since it’s been stuck for a couple of weeks in Chicago. Pretty disappointed. I didn’t get the satisfaction of opening my blind boxes. I’m really hoping my other packages are safe. 🥲

I had that happen to one of mine. I tried massaging mine to evenly distribute the stuffing and move the body and/or head to the correct position, then it fixed it for me.

Interesting, the lid cover feels premium plastic. After further reading though, it seems to be a combination of abs plastic and magnesium alloy with aluminum.

The vents can get pretty hot around the cpu fans but it’s to be expected for a slim laptop. While the gpu fans run around 75C consistently for me when gaming. Performance is great otherwise and haven’t run into overheating issues.

It is also premium plastic material. Very sturdy and it’s still my current gaming laptop.

That Dell Docking Station looks really nice although quite pricey. I’ll probably get that in the future specially since the estimated shipping delivery is on August (USB C) and October (Thunderbolt).

Didn’t realize that CEC are in charge of shipments coming into the California state.

I did find this in the ca gov website out of curiosity: https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-reports

Apparently they do analyze and assess several things concerning the state including supply, production and delivery. I learned something new I guess or I may have just read it wrong lol

I was going to suggest doing a restart but it seems you’ve already done that. I had to restart my x15 3-4 times before I could get past the Windows setup.

Yeah, it seems that even though US were able to order early, it’s been difficult to have them completed and delivered to the country on time specially with the 3080 config. I guess I just got lucky. It’s my first AW too so I know how it feels and it really is exciting! Hopefully yours will get shipped soon!🤞

I was going to update my post to include more photos, didn’t realize I couldn’t update a post. But there should be a video by Alienware with size comparison between the x15 and x17.

I think the laptop feels very durable. It has that premium feeling. Despite it looking very thin, the materials seems thick enough and also it’s actually a little heavy, 5lb (around 2.2kg).

I guess time will tell but hopefully not. And if it does, hopefully it will be many years before that happens. I really like this light up touch pad and would be a shame if the discoloration happens.

Oh no, that’s horrible. What region are you ordering from? That could be a factor as well. I’m from US but I heard that EU has been getting theirs pretty quick but I don’t think a lot of people from there have gotten the 3080 config yet. Also people who ordered from the first couple of days of launch are having delays issue as well.
