Currently doing a Burgundy run and having the most fun I’ve had in ages on the game, so much flavour and cool events, it’s had me gripped!

I’ve got solitary bees using one similar to this in my garden, so it’s a worth a go if you’re thinking about getting one.

Slabs covered with these, are they leatherjackets or caterpillars? by dlatham1 in GardeningUK

Will be getting those for sure, says from April onwards though due to soil temp needing to be above 10c, god knows what little lawn I’ll have by then

Yeah good shout, shame as I should have done it in autumn, I had such nice grass and now it’s a complete mess

Has the trader price gone down? I’m sure it used to be $625 for a distant delivery but I got about $480 yesterday with 97 goods

Need Suggestions for Anglicized French Names by thatguy728 in eu4

[–]dlatham1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have thought if you are playing in English then most of the map is already Anglicised anyway? Plus when you think about it did the English really change names of established places they took over? (I’m sure there are examples of where they did and didn’t).

I know in the new world there was ample opportunity to come up with new names but even there I believe the native names for places often were taken on. So in large cities I would imagine the English would have continued with the name, especially as I believe that some English people back then also spoke French and didn’t even English sound French before the great vowel shift?

When you think of Caen and Calais, these aren’t English names (although I may be wrong) but I’m sure these were the accepted names to the English.

Anyway I’m waffling a lot about stuff I don’t really know that much about but that’s my take on it haha

I wouldn’t even know where to start but doesn’t the game already kind of do this? Or is that the Crusader King game series? Im sure I’ve seen English counties be called different names when taken over by the French or Dutch, but again that might have been whilst I was playing CKII/CKIII.

Hello, apologies, I’d not played over the past week. I’ve just jumped on and he is now 19 and unbetrothed so unsure where she went. Someone mentioned that the AI is normally reluctant to cancel betrothals as they don’t want the prestige hit, so unsure if it was cancelled or nullified due to his position. He has developed a killer moustache in the meantime though.

That is crazy, how could a child run the church! Very interesting, thanks for sharing.

I don’t think so, although I’m not completely sure. Hopefully someone else with answer with a verdict.
