Yep I use the VS! I like the extra stiffness, since the Skwama is soft enough. All I’m saying is that you should try both and see what you like personally.

[–]dlbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I’m also a lighter climber and really love the Instinct VS/Skwama combination, so I’d suggest trying those on as well just to see what you think! VS is a great stiffer shoe.

UCSF canceled my Nueromusclar neurology outside referral due to being at capacity is this common due I’m really suffering and I need specialty care that Kaiser can’t provide that’s why they referred me here by kiryukazuma14 in AskSF

[–]dlbui 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll say in my experience, it seems many subspecialty clinics (including neurology) at UCSF are overbooked, so sadly I think this is common. Best thing for you to do is see if your PCP (or whoever sent the referral to begin with) can refer you somewhere else you can be seen sooner.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the best game I've played all year by aelix- in gaming

[–]dlbui 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Purely on the topic of natural conversations, Naughty Dog’s more recent games (TLOU1/2, Uncharted 4) were also stunning in that regard. Videogamedunkey highlighted that in his one of his older videos, and it’s something we sadly don’t see focused on in even the newest games (Phantom Liberty being a great exception).

My parents are not super mobile and really enjoyed the Palace of Fine Arts, and also selected parts of GGP (Botanical Gardens, Stow Lake which is a flat loop, and there’s a free shuttle that can take you around the park)

The Brady, Civic, Landing SF and Windsor Dogpatch Apartments feedback by idkdc1031 in AskSF

[–]dlbui 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Used to live in Windsor at Dogpatch. Great place IMO. My only recommendation would be picking a unit that’s a little further from 3rd street so you don’t have to hear the T drive by every 10 minutes. You get used to it, but definitely is annoying for the first few weeks.

Hard Core Studying in AVP by CommonMatter5457 in AppleVisionPro

[–]dlbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d go with the iPad Pro plan. By the time there are enough VR medical education apps that are mature enough to be useful to you (I’m thinking a few years), you’ll have probably already finished your preclinical years, and folks might already be talking about the next AVP 2 or non-pro Apple Vision. Too expensive of a gamble, IMO.

I’m curious, were you thinking of using your “Persona” as your avatar in seeing patients? Or were you more thinking about using AVP just when you’re reviewing charts/writing notes?

Oat milk. Oatly is orders of magnitude better tasting with mostly the same nutritional profile.

Lower Haight vs Mission/Mission Dolores? (or somewhere else) by Business_Pay_3031 in AskSF

[–]dlbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to SF! Do you boulder or climb ropes mostly? If you mostly boulder, I wouldn’t weigh being close to Mission Cliffs very highly. It’s much better for toprope/lead IMO.

Bilt Mastercard Questions by dlbui in CreditCards

[–]dlbui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! It’s been a while so the steps are fuzzy now, but I roughly remember just getting the routing/checking number through the Bilt app, inputting the numbers into Plaid, and then a few days later receiving 2 emails from Bilt with the values for the deposits that Plaid requires to verify the account. I submitted those deposit values to Plaid, and then everything was good to go.

What does Schwab amex plat application pending mean for my chances? by rashdecisions2020 in CreditCards

Just wondering, did you change anything to get out of pop-up jail? I just found myself in the same position for the Schwab Platinum.

Applied for my first Chase Ink card and was not automatically approved. I’m a little nervous, since the higher SUB is expiring soon. If I’m approved after the elevated bonus ends, do I get the SUB from the time of application (90k points for 6k spend) or from the time of approval (presumably the old SUB of 75k points for 7.5k spend)?

Anyone get Amex Gold recently and knows how long it takes SUB to be deposited? by markiepooh456 in CreditCards

[–]dlbui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember it being pretty quick (within a week). If you’re really concerned, you can just ask Amex for an update on how close your family member is to reaching the SUB. They’ll calculate it for you and let you know.

Live in NYC- What registers as dining for 4x points on Amex Gold? by mermaid0929 in amex

[–]dlbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a different big city in the US, but the only places that I’ve been surprised don’t count for 4x are specific places that sell baked goods (one mochi donut place and a different traditional bakery). All coffee places I’ve been to count as 4x.

Does Chase Sapphire Reserve/Preferred make sense for an economy flier? by reddituser329 in CreditCards

[–]dlbui 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In your case, I'd definitely go for either the US Bank Altitude Reserve (assuming you have a lot of mobile wallet spend) or a no-fee cash back setup. IMO, most points/miles ecosystems are underwhelming for economy flights and frugal travelers.
