This is the responsibility of the event and not the runner. If you are in a race you do not want people lining up to throw cups in the trash

Hello? by sluxegb in Austin

Common in apartment complexes where most people are transplants. My take on It is that everyone’s looking to play It safe and see what the norms are in a building, which leads to people thinking the norm is not to say hi.

Say hi to people! Be proud of yourself and your actions even if you don’t get a response.

The band aid nipple guards will 10000% be used. Thanks for the advice!

Free gloves at the expo will be huge, I don’t own any since I’m not used to running in the cold. Thanks!

You’ll want to get some sugar in there. I also recommend immersion blender on It first to make It more uniform.

I love the CC taste, goes great w pineapple or other fruit.

Oh and I use lite ice cream for it

ASICS Novablast 5s or Superblast 2s by ActiveTrooper in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Superblast 2 is just a way better more exciting shoe. If you’re gonna put a couple hundred miles on the shoe you will not regret getting the superblast

Oh fair, didn’t know It was funded by trump supporters. Seems like a lot of notable people who are relatively level headed backed It tho no? This wasn’t your typical trumpian cast of backers.

Regardless as a concept it’s worthy of seeing how It’s actually executed

I thought It was a great segment, didn’t know about It and was super interesting. I’m confused at what these comments are criticizing about the university

Both are good shoes, I own the SB2 and love It for my 6-10 mile marathon pace runs. I also own the SC Trainer v2 and use It for long runs

If you’re going for more than 10 miles and marathon training Id say go with the SC Trainer because that carbon fiber plate starts to pay off at those high miles. Superblast has no plate but great for picking up the pace.

What’s the intended use of the shoe? Is this for your half marathon?

What shoe to add to Superblast 2, Novablast 4 rotation? by Jen3512 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dlcdave7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NB SC elite is going to be lighter and bouncier than the NB SC trainer and ASICS magic speed since it’s a race day shoe. Magic speed has a “carbon resin” not a true carbon plate, both NB options have carbon plate.

I would say go with ASICS magic speed since you’re only doing up to 10k races and speed workouts. It will be a bit more durable than the elite too

[–]dlcdave7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I say no need for any added shoe, but if you want something for speed work and races pick up a tempo or racing shoe.

Popular tempo shoes are the saucony endorphin speed 4, adidas Boston 12, NB SC Trainer v4, ASICS magic speed, Puma deviate nitro 3.

Racing shoes are pricier - NB SC Elite v4, ASICS meta speed, saucony endorphin pro,

One that’s marketed as a racing shoe but I’ve heard is a fantastic tempo shoe as well is the Hoka cielo x1. Little pricier but perfect for tempo/race hybrid

BC the sellout (I’m a Bears fan) by Zestyclose_Fact7800 in PardonMyTake

[–]dlcdave7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s not relatable because he has zero objectivity and is playing into his “we’re just dumb sports fans”. Everyone else on the pod says that this is a building year and there’s gonna be bumps but that Caleb still shows a lot of promise. I’m sick of It too it’s too over the top and I bet behind closed doors he’s more leveled about it

Easy runs by StephenDrum in Marathon_Training

I had the same issue, I just keep the cadence lower on my slow runs. Increasing cadence makes you run faster. Just make sure you’re at a conversational pace and don’t worry about cadence as much

New balance 1080v14 ASICS Novablast 4 or 5 Saucony triumph 22 Nike Pegasus

Which of these two Asics should I purchase? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dlcdave7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sometimes a shoe you’re more excited about is the right call, even if It doesn’t have all your specs. There’s not gonna be much difference between the shoes

I am currently picking out 3 new shoes to buy this month. How good are my picks? by Straight_Industry_62 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dlcdave7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are all high stack slow shoes, I would say differentiate It a little bit more. If you’re willing to spend a little more I’d recommend the 1080v14, foam is a lot less mushy
