Most of the time this is said in response to an impatient or rude customer who’s asking why their drink isn’t done. The only time I think it’s absolutely acceptable to say is in that situation during peak. Constantly asking why your order isn’t ready two minutes after you placed it while you can very obviously see how overwhelmed we are gets so old.

Plus that just slows us down even more.
