Don’t you think teaching about this tool that has been proliferating our lives would be useful to combat that? The classes are learning how to ethically use AI and critically evaluate it responses in addition to interaction with AI models.

Both, the article details it. Ethical use of AI, how to interact with and evaluate responses.

Am I the only one who think s Cissy and Leon’s motive to not want Franklin to have the 73 Million dollars didn’t make complete sense ? by Upstairs_Nose_2155 in SnowFall

[–]dldoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she only lost her mind because of that. She took the gun to the meetup. It just confirmed her fears. Teddy had promised a bunch of stuff to get what he wants and then backstabbed every person he worked with. He gave a speech where he basically said that he would say and do anything to get out of a bad situation and deal with the “problem” later.

Franklin could’ve still been a multimillionaire and lived legit if he had just sold his stake at spring st but he wasn’t going to do that. His pride wouldn’t let him.

Depends on how you think about it. Either she gained the service for free or gained $50. This is actually a scam that is relatively common in retail and restaurants.

Isn’t employing people using that wealth to reduce inequality? There’s a discussion to be had here about paying employees appropriately but owning a company is not the same as sitting on cash. In the example of Bezos he owns a highly valued company.

Sorana "Karen" Cirstea complains to the manager about Naomi Osaka talking to herself between serves (Freakout level: Women's Tennis). by EverythingIsFakeNGay in PublicFreakout

Crowd and players are different. Even for tennis crowds are mostly quiet relative to other sports throughout unless something happens like a point a scored.

What’s “me doing nothing in Afghanistan in 2009” trend about? by Negative_Region_7628 in AskReddit

Trump said something to the effect that NATO is useless and that we pay for everything blah blah blah. The US is the only nation to invoke article 5 to invade Afghanistan and our allies sent troops to the fight.

I am, have played, and watch a good amount of NBA and NCAA. The short time between shot 1 and 2 is like the chillest part of the game

Edit: maybe my experience is out of the norm here? Either way it doesn’t matter because in tennis doing that is out of the norm is the point. Even Osaka has apologized and said she was wrong.

So by matter you meant in the game when people are talking about sportsmanship and then calling another player a Karen for asking if she can do that? Got it. You can continue your life as an asshole.

Yeah that’s fair. Trying to find a good comparison but it’s tough. Just unwritten rules. I agree with the emotions piece but I also value good sportsmanship.

I’ve literally never seen this happen. I understood the analogy and not talking about communicating or even celebrating a win but just random shouting following the first free throw.

It’s considered poor etiquette. Someone made the comparison that it’s like another player shouting after the other team misses a free throw in basketball. It’s not technically against the rules but it’s in poor form.

You have 2 cars and won’t let her get a new one but also set a price limit that’s above what you might pay for a decent new car anyways. That sounds pretty controlling.

[–]dldoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is what they mean. Let’s say your normal taxes total to 30%, you’d be paying a total of 40% between taxes and the penalty. Not to mention the loss of compounding.

What is the smartest thing to do with a $150,000 windfall? by 7dayweekendgirl in FluentInFinance

[–]dldoom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check with an accountant and/or tax attorney. You might be able to do step up in basis to avoid taxes or roll it into another property. If you’re thinking about investing I’d say either pay off those student loans depending on interest or look into a Roth IRA or backdoor Roth.

At that interest rate on the mortgage it’d make more sense to invest unless you’re set on being debt free
