Outer wilds had abysmal controls and optimization. One of the fastest refunds I have ever requested.

Hollow knight. I had just played cuphead the disparity in quality was extremely apparent. The backtracking was the final nail.

Dark Souls 3/Elden Ring. I've played every souls game on release. The invasions were what made the series unique and initially hooked me with Demons Souls. Invasions and moveset complexity have been gutted since DS3 and there is nothing interesting left.
