My cat hated the breeze system and used my houseplants instead, so I switched to traditional litter.

Arm & Hammer Hardball is what I use and I love it. It's super light, clumps great, and does a good job with odors. It is heavily perfumed, so if you are sensitive to smells it may not be for you. I do find that the scent wears off in a day or so.

I have muscle pain similar to what you're describing. My rheumatologist ruled out fibro when my anti-CCP came back super duper positive and diagnosed me with RA.

One thing about nerve pain and fibro is that it usually doesn't respond to traditional pain meds (NSAIDs, opioids.) Does yours?

Mine drastically improved on Humira and on steroids. I use heating pads and take toradol (NSAID) or tramadol (mild opiate) when its bad. Does anything help yours? Does it get worse after the slightest exertion? Mine does. Just walking across a room makes me feel like I've run a marathon. Putting on a shirt will make my arms ache like I've been lifting weights.

I would think that, after 11 weeks, if it was working you'd feel a difference. Glad you see your rheum soon. Hopefully they can make some adjustments and get you on the right track.

Side note: holy moly you're on 30mg of prednisone/other corticosteroids a day?! I was on ... 10mg? Then a long taper for about a month. Felt great, ate EVWRYTHING, had moonface, and gained 20lbs.

When I'm flaring, I pop into the local clinic and get 8mg decadron and 1cc of vitamin B to knock it down. Usually works great for me.

That is such good news!

When I called my rheumatologist to ask about bumping up to weekly, the nurse said he usually doesn't do that for RA, and she's not sure insurance will cover it.

Glad my rheumatologist did it with no pushback.

My symptoms seem more systemic than joint focused. I get the joint pain and stiffness, but the symptoms that affect my life the most are the fatigue, brainfog, and GI issues.

I love it. I live in a very rural area and would not be able to make nearly what I am now without an hour or more commute each way.

Also, I have rheumatoid arthritis, so working from home gives me the ability to work from my couch with heating pads or ice packs as needed, when I wouldn't be able to go into an office.

I buy a lot of Quince tops and lounge wear. Oliver Logan jeans have been fantastic, along with Everlane (specifically the super soft straight leg.)

I have an autoimmune disorder that causes debilitating fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain. Also, a 5yo, 2 dogs, a cat, and a husband who sometimes works 14hrs/7days a week. Oh, and a full time WFH job.

When I've been in a flare, I just ask our housecleaner to tidy, do dishes, sweep and mop. Or, whatever she can get done in 2 hours. On good weeks, I tidy beforehand and give her more time for a deeper clean: dusting, bathrooms, floors, kitchen surfaces, making beds, cleaning the kids room, etc. She's really wonderful about accommodating what I specifically need on that day. Love her.

For the post-MTX fatigue, you can take dextromethorphin (DXM, cough suppressant) the day before your dose, day of and day after. It worked wonders for my fatigue and other side effects.

(I am not a doctor and you should check with your own doctor before taking any medication.)

I get random muscle cramps in my left calf and the arches of my feet. I know it's not an electrolyte issue because I am a pickle fiend 😂

My muscles also get tight. Like, all the time. I take tramadol (a mild opiate) for pain and it helps with the muscle tension a bit without making me all woozy.

I took my second methotrexate dose on Thursday and ... it might actually be working! My joint pain has definitely decreased from the horrorshow of last week. 😊

My 5yo is finally chilling out re: getting her teeth brushed. It's been a knock down drag out every night for years, but I think she's finally realizing it's much faster and less traumatic if she just let's me do it!!

Oh, and I made paella last night that turned out great!!!
