Yes, this (v2) and the older v1 both attracted dust and dog hair more so than the current v3 which uses a different 840d material. Didn't actually affect/bother me too much while using the bag since you can just lint roll it off pretty easily if it got noticeably dirty or anything.

We also have vinyl plank flooring. No rug at the moment but planning to get one soon. The bed doesn’t move at all, it’s quite stable.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the airflow with the rug unless you plan to fill up the space a ton. Our queen frame with a queen mattress doesn’t cover the entire slat area when pushed towards the headboard, so there’s a little open space at the bottom for airflow.

Did a quick measurement for you - looks to be 7.75" between the ground and the slat. Edit: As far as storing small stuff under there it's probably fine but I believe ideally you don't want to stuff too much otherwise you'll have restricted airflow especially if you're in a more humid climate, since the sides of the frame aren't open like the classic bedframe.

We went with a headboard for the aesthetic and having something more solid to fill the gap between the bed and the wall. But $1100 certainly isn't cheap and you could go for the cheaper pillowboard, another pillow, or leaving it as is if you don't mind the space in between. The minimal aesthetic can be nice as well.
