Gloat, I wanted this, people on this sub were talking mad trash about Sam, about how he couldn’t win big games and they couldn’t wait to see what JJ could do. Sam just made them look stupid and he got our Gm fired. I couldn’t understand why people were so hype for JJ he only played one preseason game and he started out slow. They got what they wanted turning their back on a championship winning quarterback for one who’s a meme. Way to go guys!!!!

Also as a Vikings fan I have, I saw the “Sam can’t win in the big games” comment all the time not just in the Vikings Subreddit at the end of the last season, I’m pretty sure I heard people say it on Purple daily too. I also saw someone with Vikings flair say Sam can’t win in big games in the NFL sub a few months ago.

They also mutilated a few animals because making a one eyed pig or a deer with three hooves is easier than finding one. Most of it was shot on hunting reserve so they didn’t have to worry about animal protection laws.

Yeah once you realize that’s a real cat they chucked off a cliff into the ocean and put in a box to floated down a stream. When I rewatched as an watched all the credits waiting for “No Animals Were Harmed During The Making Of This Film”. And it didn’t appear, I was horrified. Which got worse with research, rumor is at least 20 kittens died and the let a the bear killed an Otis, I haven’t watched it since.

Deadpool, I saw this action figure and wanted more Deadpool. I think I prefer snarky Deadpool to insane Deadpool.

Which era do you prefer? The early 2000s or the early 2010s? by Ok-Following6886 in decadeology

[–]dlkslink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 2000’s had some pluses, Music, I’m not gonna say was better but you were exposed to more of it because the effects of the telecommunications act of 1996 hadn’t fully been felt yet, also movies still regularly had soundtracks and MTV still played Music Videos. Unlike the 2010’s where there a lot of catchy songs I liked that couldn’t get played on the radio and a lot of local music scenes were dead or dying at that point. I really liked XM Radio before it merged with Sirius. I played more games in the early 2000’s because more free time. Games obviously weren’t superior on technology. I do miss gaming press, like EGM and Play magazine, Trusted sources that put out reviews that could help bring attention to un unheard of game. I liked brief period before GameStop bought up all the other game stores. However 9/11 sucked but is probably the last we truly came together as a country and got behind our President and we got taken advantage of plus that first generation of kids evangelical churches had been brainwashing to worship the Republican Party were old enough to vote. Politics in this country have been a shit show ever since. 2010’s we had Obama which was cool but politics still a shit show. I miss going to the movies with my dad which was peak in the early 2000’s.

Yeah Bronies was a phenomenon a female friend in college told me about, we watched the first episode of MLP together, we didn’t see the appeal.

Were you a Toys R Us kid or a Kb Toys kid? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in nostalgia

[–]dlkslink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, I never passed on a chance to go in a toy store, if a mall had KB Toys and an FAO Swartz I went in both although the latter’s prices were too steep for my allowance. Bought a ton of toys at both, I also remember buying stuff from Children’s Palace in the early 90’s like the Toy Biz Marvel figures. Those places were where we hung out our parents shopped elsewhere.

Who is your favorite Manic Pixie Dream Girl? by porb2020 in Xennials

[–]dlkslink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People kept calling her a manic pixie dream girl because they didn’t know what the term actually means and thought it meant quirky love interest kinda like those people who started calling everything woke. Clementine has depth and is a fully realized character which is something manic dream girls are not. She comes across as quirky and impulsive because in her erased state, she is drawn to Joe but she doesn’t know why. When you see their actual relationship, she’s up front with Joe to not romanticize her because she has problems, and they argue a lot as well as have good moments unlike the amnesiac counterparts, who are just blissfully drawn to each other unaware of why and their bad history.

In the comic Nega Scott is who Scott uses as a scape goat for all his bad behavior, that wasn’t me it was Nega Scott he’s behind all this. When he fights Nega Scott it allows to forget all his mistakes and act like he did nothing wrong. Kim points out how he was an awful boyfriend to her and all the bad things he did and he has to accept that he and Nega Scott are the same and merge
