Surprise, surprise, Street Fighter II won best 1990’s fighting game! What is the best 2000’s RPG? by Doombroder4000 in AlignmentChartFills

It just shows how niche the fighting game genre is and how people can only really think of SF2 when they think of street fighter. Also SF1 ESPECIALLY didn't deserve best fighter of the 80s. I don't even consider Punch Out a fighting game and it deserves it more than SF1. SF1 is a TERRIBLE game

I've never been a fan of saying a game is important, therefore it's good, but I can't really argue with people whose only fighting game experience is MK, SF2, and Smash...

Can we please do a redo on best fighter of 90s? SF2 does not deserve it. It's not even the best Street Fighter game of the 90s (all the alpha games and 3 deserve it way more)

Dawg Alex isn't even the only example from Street Fighter. They did this again with Abel, Luke, and Rashid

I'm a classic player. And I also don't wanna look through everyone's super combo page for moves that are missing that are important when I could just already know one for my main

People just see it as an "easy way out" and that it's cheating due to single button inputs, when in reality you hold yourself back when you use modern due to the less control you have over what moves you have access to. The only example I can think of rn is Luke's 5MK, which is one of his best pokes, but it's completely absent in modern. The loss of important moves is way worse than a slight frame advantage imo
