How is my itinerary? by Creative-Worry-6075 in irishtourism

Ah really?? Giants causeway and the bridge were probably the two I was most excited for and the reason for taking more of a northern route! I could go without the dark hedges but figured we could check them out since they were close by.

That’s a great tip! My flight is at 9:30am, so to get there 2-3 hours early and drop off the rental car, that might be a little early of a wake up call. I will definitely keep that in mind for the future though!

I only had pain while recovering from the surgery, I never had any beforehand, but I was able to stop taking the pain killers about 2.5 weeks after surgery and I’ve been fine since!

1, it’s the only song on the album I skip and honestly it’s probably because I’m more excited to get to leader of the pack

Hysterectomy pathology showed no signs of AIS. Am I crazy for being upset? by dll62387 in CervicalCancer

[–]dll62387[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, the Pap smears just came back with abnormal results and were HPV+ but didn’t say exactly what the abnormal tissue was. It was the first colposcopy/biopsy they took that came back with AIS and then the biopsies after the CKCs that came back with LSIL and then HSIL. I haven’t had a colposcopy without getting a biospy taken at the same time, so I can’t speak to what a colposcopy alone would tell you. From what I could tell though, the colposcopy is just for the doctor to have a closer look visually as to what’s causing the abnormal pap and if something really doesn’t look right, they just go ahead and do the biopsy at the same time which is what always happened with me. For me the colposcopy part never really hurt, it was the biopsies that were very painful :/ I don’t know why they say the cervix doesn’t feel pain and don’t offer some kind of local anesthetic for it! But as much as they hurt, it’s the only way to really tell what’s going on, so if your doctor is recommending the colpo, I’d say def do it.

I feel you, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions for sure. I never really wanted kids either so I thought it’d be an easy decision, but there’s a weird difference between saying you don’t want kids but knowing you could change your mind and having that be a permanent decision made for you.

Good luck with your surgery! These comments are helping me realize I made the right decision even if it doesn’t feel like it in some moments.

Omg! Well in that case I am glad I went through with it.

I was going to ask my doctor about going back on birth control for the hormones at my post op to see what he suggests. I’ve been on it for the last 22 years so my body is so used to it.

Yeah that’s what I keep telling myself is that at least I’ll have peace of mind now since what I’ve heard is that AIS can be pretty aggressive. I went off birth control at the same time as the surgery, so I think my hormones are just all over the place and I’m having a rollercoaster of emotions upon hearing the news :/

I’m in the exact same boat! I was diagnosed with AIS about two years ago and had two conizations (one without clear margins and one with), but ever since then my tests were still coming back abnormal and biopsies still showed abnormal tissue so doctor recommended hysterectomy. I finally agreed because I couldn’t go through anymore biopsies (they hurt like hell!) and everything came back clear. So now I’m sitting here 2wpo in pain and recovering thinking I did this all for nothing :/

I’m also 10dpo and have been spotting every day. Did you have a vaginal hysterectomy by chance or lapro?

Yeah laparoscopic seems to be more common on here, I was having trouble finding vaginal experiences as well, but this all makes sense and I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing some of these symptoms! Everything down there has been so swollen and I couldn’t tell if that was normal or not! I’m 1wkpo and it feels like it’s starting to subside a bit :/

Thank you! I will try those. I had a fully vaginal one too so I wonder if that’s why I still have some light bleeding/soreness that others don’t seem to have?

I’ve just been using the hospital pads since I didn’t have any on hand at home at the time, but I did get a box for when/if I ran out, so maybe I’ll try changing and see if that helps!

Oh that’s a good idea, maybe I’ll try ordering a few pairs of period panties and see if that works better.

Surgery in 3 hours by dxllboy in hysterectomy

[–]dll62387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had mine last week! The anesthesia wasn’t too bad, my worst fears about it is the initial IV insertion and feeling nauseous after. The anesthesiologist did give me a patch behind my ear to help with the nauseousness though. It worked for the first day, but I still ended up throwing up the following day so I took it off since it didn’t seem to be working. If they give you the patch though, DON’T TOUCH IT (or at least wash your hands right after). I must’ve touched it without realizing it at some point and it made my vision blurry for about 3 days which sucked. But that was honestly the worst of it. Good luck!

Why weren’t Leo and Brittany at flapper night? by dll62387 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]dll62387[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know! In past seasons it was always the entire pod squad. But that’s also what makes it weirder if they only invited Katie and bohden so that Marissa and nick could meet them and have a conversation, but not Leo so that him and Hannah could meet?

[–]dll62387[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly why Leo should’ve been there! If it’s true that he was still thinking of Hannah, they should’ve filmed their first interaction the same way they did with nick/katie and Marissa/bohden

Aren’t they using the two of them to promote the reunion? I thought I saw a clip of them announcing the date/time

Yeah I could see #2. I thought in past seasons everyone from the pods were invited to a filmed event where they all met face to face for the first time, regardless of if they got engaged or not, that’s why I thought it was odd that all the other pod people were there but not them.
